The problem here is a problem of timing... sadly father time is a mysterious beast and waits for no man.
That's the issue here.... Undertaker clearly wanted to go on after HHH and HBK and he probably doesn't now and then you are forced into a situation where you had to think who is the best option left.
This isn't a game where you can pick and choose, as age takes over your options limit and that's what happened here in my opinion.
Also M99 how do you know he wanted Orton to end it etc etc? you speak to him over Skype?
Also i suppose you would have been happy with Bryan ending it aswell?
Why end it in a generic way though?

A deadman taken to hospital, I thought WWE was real.

WWE.com can confirm that, following last's night historic match with Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker was immediately taken to Ochsner Medical Center. After a CT scan and other medical testing, he was diagnosed with a severe concussion and was kept overnight for further evaluation. He was discharged early Monday afternoon.

I think the finish had a part in people's hatred. It should have been one giant finisher spotfest. Lesnar should have kicked out of a few tombstones, chokeslams and last rides, Taker should have kicked out of a few F5s and a chairshot, should have had Heyman involved somehow, a ref distraction, run ins. Instead, Taker is KILLED, not just pinned, but KILLED by one F5 that left him comatose for almost 10 minutes after the bell

MT if he wanted to end it this year he had no choice....
That's my point, he can't just pick and choose how he wants to end it as he's getting old.
This isn't fantasy, at some point you are forced to make these decisions.
Its not ideal i know but as i said its not a game you can't just make any random match up and make it work.
Edit: I agree with that Lex....

That's how I'd expect Lesnar to burry Big Show not the streak
Should have been some super f'5

They should have spent a good month working out an ending by itsself tbh. Considering on paper it is the biggest match ending in WWE history

After all that happened with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, the Streak should have been left as it is. Unbeaten. He should have just retired with it intact.
@Mole: It's well known that he wanted Orton and Edge to end it. I can't find a concrete link but I do remember a lot of stuff about Undertaking wanting to lost Orton and Edge but WWE said no to that. And no I would not have been happy if Bran broke it. Stop with the Bryan BSm just because I want him fet the title run he deserves does not mean I want him to break the fckin Streak, Jesus Christ.

He wanted Lesnar to end it. Everything else is just excuses. He could have said no and never wrestle this year. He could have said no and make it 21-0. But he wanted it to end this year. Like he wanted Lesnar to end it in 2010.

Actually it was the German suplex. I was afraid this would happen, Lesnar works super stiff and injured Triple H and Cena, knew something serious would happen to Undertaker.

It was the same exact finish from Unforgiven in 2003 between those two lol.
I think the match would have gone a bit longer but Taker was finished in 2 minutes physically and Lesnar couldn't even do any suplexes on him. Just hit F5 3 times as it was planned probably and end it in 5 minutes.

I agree yet it all seemed rushed as if someone finishes a streak like that, it should be someone who is mutually respected by all fans; not having it one-sided to see hope of Taker winning it. Similar to HBK vs Angle in Survivor Series 2004.
Bryan? I'm not a big fan of Brian per say yet I do think given his placeholder status, that he would be a better option given that he is technically strong and possesses a large following to clash minds rather than a mercenary in Lesnar.
It just doesn't sit well.

Yeah one word i'd use to describe it.
Rushed. It felt rushed. Obviously there's only so much taker can do, should've left it at 21-0 rather than have that ending.

If that's the case then why not beat Lesnar and call it a day?

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 13 - BRYAN NEW CHAMP YES! YES! YES!
Because Taker is an old timer. He wouldn't retire with 21-0. Neither would Austin or Flair or Hogan. It's a mental thing. They would rather go down on the back than just go away with a record intact. with 21-0, there are further possibilities of matches and the story is unfinished. With 21-1, it's finished. IMO there will be no match with Sting at WM31. I think Taker is really gone for good. Specially at WM.

Undertaker must've hired David Moyes as his manager. It's the only explination.

Nah, retiring with a perfect streak makes more sense.
Even without the streak, there's still the possibility of him facing people if he doesn't retire.
If the streak was to end, it shouldn't have ended in a generic way.

Why not? He could have won tonight and just retired. Say that Wrestlemania 30 was his last war after beating Lesnar. Next day on RAW, he comes and hangs up his hat and gloves and druids comes with a casket. He lies in the casket and is carried out. 22-0 and retired.
