Dominating? Hardly providing anything concrete, seems to be completely own dimension every time, with or without the ball.
The amount of bad luck in this game is depressing.

The difference between with Iniesta in 1st half and without Iniesta in 2nd.

This win is all the more better with Madrid losing. Very sad to hear about Valdes though.

If I were him I would sign another 6 month contract honestly, just so he can re-pick up his form in our small copa de rey games and could get a suitable club in the winter.

I think we can take the Liga without Valdes, but the other two trophies are going to be much harder.

That front 3 arranged that way works so much better than anything else with have, I dont really understand any argument to the contrary.
I am hysterical over Harmonica though. Neymar should be benched after scoring 2 goals and playing a great game

So any news about Iniesta? There is no chance to win against Espanyol without him + the way Fabregas is playing right now. Messi suddenly becomes a DM without Iniesta on the pitch, fss.

Dani it was awesome to watch. The problem was once Iniesta went off Barcelona had no controller. Cesc looked like a headless chicken and Rberto acted like some poor mans Vidal. There was nooone to bring the ball forward effectively from CM so Messi and Neymar, ergo the whole team had to drop deeper. If Inesta doesn't start I fear for Barcelona in the tight run in. Thiago should never have been let go ffs! Modric or Rakitic would be a perfect for that role imo. Neymar played well yesterday. Missed a few passes and his touch was a tad bit heavy but his movement was amazing. Should score 20+ goals this season, not too shabby for a player having a shit season.

Come to think of it for some reason I never thought of Valdes replacement after this season, any rumours or ideas who we will get?
Pinto is ok, but as shown in the game already he makes mistakes, hopefully he will step up and reduce those errors.

Nothing Neymar does surprises me, I understand what he is capable of. I had no worries about his recent questionable performances, at all. I was quite confident once he went back on the left he would do well, just aslong as he has gained the fitness after not playing for a month.
I obviously agree about the midfield, it was made worse by Celta playing a little bit higher up in the midfield and applying pressure. Plus Valdes injury took something out of the team. I felt.
But yes, it is yet another reason we require a midfielder. With all Cesc's flaws which I could point out all day really...the most annoying one is his yearly habit of doing nothing after the month of January, dating back to the Arsenal days.
In the early months of the season, he will poach a few cheap goals and so forth..but after Jan, almost no contribution.

What MFer would you want Barcelona to get? I don't understand why people keep calling vidals name. Vidal and Cesc are so similar except Vidal can't final pass and Cesc can't tackle and get bypassed almost every-time. Rakitic would be a much better option, hell Modric would have been a better option than Cesc. Keeping Thiago would obviously have been better but that ship has long sailed.
I can't think of anyone else. Gotze possibly but you waste his ability by pushing him away from goal. Barcelona really *bleep* up with Thiago...
Roberto is just a poor mans vidal.

It depends. The answer will change depending on if Cesc is in the squad or not. Because it would be a different player depending on if he has to play with Cesc or he doesnt.

Iniesta is fine, he trained normally today...
About Cesc, he was playing alongside Song & Roberto, the game was finished... so not fair to blame him for his performance... Not to forget he needs rest, Iniesta Busquets Xavi have been rested and he should next week to be ready for Atletico game...
Expecting this lineup vs Espanyol:

Pedro Messi Neymar
Alexis for Pedro in last 20-30 mins.
Song for Xavi in last 20 mins, if we're winning...
Just not sure about Alba/Adriano, Tata might play Adriano in this game and give some rest for Alba who played last 2 games, to be ready for Atletico game...
None of the remaining 8 Liga games is going to be easy, but definitely this game is one of the 3 most difficult remaining Liga games this season: Espanyol (A), Villarreal (A), Atletico (H).
