Which year will someone else win the title the next time?
When will there be another champion in Germany?
Bayern Munich are at the top of their cycle. Won the Bundesliga title in record time, are the CL holders. For how long can they keep this up?

If Dortmund refuse to invest (which they probably will), Bayern will win the bundi for the next 3-4 years at least i think.

It could happen as soon as next season. Yeh Bayern are dominating at the moment, but in football anything can happen. They can randomly fall apart, while a team like Schalke can get a good record going and end up winning the league.

Schalke, Dortmund and Wolfsburg are the obvious contenders as well as wherever Tuchel decides to move on to from Mainz. It all depends on how well Schalke and Wolfsburg's youth develop or how much Dortmund is willing to invest.

What comes to investment in Bundesliga, isn't there a rule you cannot spend more than you make, or? Meaning that Dortmund or anyone else cannot up their spending to a new level just like that.
Personally I don't think it will be sooner than 2018 when there's a new champion. Bayern just have too good a combination of up-and-coming players and some more experienced ones - and the most money.

Buyern always have had more money than the rest of the league, it didn't stop them from not winning the league every year.
Their cycle will end in mostly two years from now which is when Guardiola leaves because he can't motivate them anymore. Schalke's youthful team (if they haven't sold half their team by then), Wolfsburg's money potential or Dortmund will step up.

Yes that is correct. Due to a recent TV deal money in the league has gone up and now Dortmund is making some good CL money too.

Re: When will there be another champion in Germany?
What the bundesliga needs is to have the same 4 teams constantly in the CL. After a few years of constant CL revenue they will be able to reinvest it. Money does not always equal success, and especially Pep has been known to waste a lot of it. Look at Atletico: their budget is a much smaller fraction than Barca's or Atleti's, but they're at the top of the table after 29 matches. It's possible.

------------------------Neuer (27)
Lahm (30)---Boetang (25)-----Badstuber (25)------Alaba (21)
-----------------------Martinez (25)
----------------Thiago (21)------Kroos (24)
Muller (24)------------------------------------Gotze (21)

Overall pretty young squad and they keep stealing all the youth products I don't see why they cannot maintain championship for the next 4+ years.
I inculde lahm because he wont decline anything soon, he has the zanneti gene

Re: When will there be another champion in Germany?
We will always be good, but it will come down to how well the importance of these players is phased out, or addressed, over the next 2-3 years:
Lahm
Ribéry
Robben
Schweinsteiger
Those are 4 world class talents which will not be easily replaceable, let alone fall off enough to let the next starlet take their place before they are willing to leave.

Lol @ Wolfsburg.
Kevin De Bench is too busy making sure Courtois isn't still messing with his bird to carry a team through a season.

Re: When will there be another champion in Germany?
This is such a difficult question because:
1. Financially speaking, Bayern are way ahead of every other German team. If money buys success, they should theoretically not lose a title for the next 5-10 years... and perhaps longer.
2. On the other hand, football is great to watch because it is unpredictable. Despite being financially ahead of every other German team in the BuLi for the last 10 years, there have been several occasions when Bayern have not won the title.

I agree with you but the team you've suggested would get destroyed by the current bayern imo.
Once a few of their players pass peak I think they'll concede a title, also Dortmund have been insanely unlucky with injuries this year so haven't pushed them.

Even once their players pass their peak, they'll just create a new cycle. They have the capacity now to buy the best of the best whereas Dortmund and others have to rely on scouting and youth and this strategy wont always provide desired results something money can.

Re: When will there be another champion in Germany?
Tend to agree with what Armin Veh said in that it wasn't just Bayern having more money and talent. Bayern have been hungrier than any other team in Germany. That won them the title just as much as any of the other factors. The other teams just don't have that in their locker at the point.
When the likes of Leverkusen, Dortmund, Schalke and Wolfsburg get their houses in order and/or grow a pair, we will see Bayern's dominance begin to wane. They are invincible now only because everyone perceives them to be. Sooner or later, someone will get their head on straight and step up.
I'd say 2016.

Re: When will there be another champion in Germany?
I don't think we can assign any timeline for this purpose.
Dortmund would have gave a serious fight if it wasn't for their injury debacle. Most promising thing about them is that they seems to have evolved. When they lost Gotze, they didn't go after some promising talent @ 5million but went after a matured player and splashed the cash. It's highly unlikely that they will loose 3-4 key players in a season. Whenever a player leaves and they buy appropriate replacement, they will be able to fight with Munich and at any point they can win the league. I don't think the Munich team was substantially weaker than the one at present, when Dortmund won the leagues in recent years.
One thing that puzzles me is that while German Clubs are appreciated for their financial management yet the likes of Schalke, ********** or Wolfsburg reportedly have financial problems.

Re: When will there be another champion in Germany?
Not only Dortmund, Schalke even more so (currently they have 10 (!) players out - you just don't see it as much there as they fill the spots with their numerous promising youth players). Oh, and I think BMG might have a good next season, too. ^^lszanto wrote:Once a few of their players pass peak I think they'll concede a title, also Dortmund have been insanely unlucky with injuries this year so haven't pushed them.
