Nah he'll turn heel when WWE have superstars doing what he does. So selling as much merchandise as him, doing promotion work outside of WWE, appealing to casuals, being a draw etc. Right now turning him would literally be bad for business. He's the face of the PG era. I think Bryan can definitely be one of those who takes his place. He appeals to everyone, he's wacky, he's an underdog the kids can look up to and he's recently starting to get mainstream attention. But he still has some way to go yet. WWE would be stupid not to capitalise on Bryan's popularity, considering the company is desperate for main eventers. Thing with Punk was he sold merchandise, but he didn't appeal to everyone and nor was he as over as Bryan/Cena.

Other than that Orton was a candidate as a face and there's also Sheamus.

Sting is incredibly close to signing with WWE and the feeling is that the minor details are being ironed out. It's been said repeatedly that he's not a top priority and that's why he hasn't signed, and that's definitely the case, but it's also partially because all that's left is to dot the i's and cross the t's. There are still questions with creative but they are no longer insurmountable. It's at least possible that he will be a surprise appearance on the Feb. 24, 2014, episode of Raw.

Speaking of which, there is a major angle planned for that show with Undertaker returning and Brock Lesnar coming to town. They might be drawing on the UFC 121 confrontation and going the shoot style route with this feud with something big planned to kick it off here.

It's floating around that Hulk Hogan is going to be the guest host of WrestleMania 30 in the same way The Rock was guest host at WrestleMania 27. That wording is off because Rock got physical on that show and Hogan is expressly forbidden from as much. Still, he's involved and the creative details are still being worked out on his end as well.

Not sure about this one but there's been some talk of WWE extending Raw on Feb. 24 as the lead in to the Network launch and operating the show like WCW used to close Nitro in the 90s. Basically, a big angle would be going down and the company would tell fans they were out of time on USA but to tune in to the Network where the post-show would be broadcasting that would have footage of everything that would normally happen off the air in front of the live audience. This sounds like a good idea but there are risks and you want the biggest audience possible for the biggest angles. So we'll see. Again, unsure of it, and these are all rumors, but there you go.

The reason for Cesaro dropping "Antonio" from his name is apparently because Vince McMahon didn't think it was a tough enough name for a title challenger.

Tonight's WWE RAW takes place from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado with the final hype before Elimination Chamber. Confirmed for tonight's show is Sheamus vs. Randy Orton in the main event.

WWE is focusing on the following points for tonight's show:

* Can Randy Orton get a much-needed win before The Chamber?

* Will The Usos finally get their tag team title shot?

* Can Jack Swagger bounce back and keep The Real Americans running strong?

* Will Daniel Bryan get away without another Kane confrontation?

* Can Alberto Del Rio find a way to neutralize Batista before Elimination Chamber?

ECW Original Steve Corino recently spoke with the Shining Wizards podcast and discussed Daniel Bryan's popularity:

"We over-think sometimes as fans. I watch Raw and Smackdown as a fan. I never try to over-analyze and say they're doing this or that wrong. There is no doubt that Daniel Bryan is so over, right? But, you don't think WWE knows this? You don't think a money making machine like WWE doesn't see what's going on?

I think us as wrestling fans want Daniel Bryan to be in that main event spot right now, whereas the WWE says we're making money off this guy right now. Let's string it along and see how far we can go because we're going to need a main event for Wrestlemania 31. Stone Cold Steve Austin was over at King Of The Ring 1996, but go back and see how long it took him, as they strung him along, and people wanted to cheer, and they were cheering him at Survivor Series 1996 with Bret (Hart).

They were cheering him in every match, and finally they did the turn and put the rocket up his ass a little bit after WrestleMania 13 and he didn't get the belt until the next WrestleMania, so you have a year and a half where they knew he was over and he was going to make big money for them and they just took their time, and I think that's what they're doing here with Daniel. They know he's over and he's not going anywhere.

Think about how genius it was putting him with The Wyatt family for 3 weeks. They literally turn him heel and the crowd said no way. The fans feel like Bryan is one of them and he is doing everything they would do if they were wrestlers.

I think it's great. To me, if I'm Vince McMahon or Triple H or Stephanie McMahon, I have it in my mind how Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk is my main event for WrestleMania 31."

The word making the rounds at this weekend's WWE live events is that CM Punk was officially given his release from WWE on Friday, according to PWInsider.

As this time, we are unable to confirm that the rumors are true. It's worth noting that Punk is still featured on the WWE roster page on their official website. Additionally, PWInsider notes that people that are close to Punk have told them he is "done."

Vince McMahon is once again rumored to buy the Newcastle United club in the English Premiere League. The UK's Winner Sports website brought the rumor up again today. The rumor has been going on for several years and when it popped up back in January of this year, a Newcastle representative called it "non-sense."
