Way too wasteful in front of goal. Still only 3 points behind.

Barca did it last year
Anyway, we were pathetic. Apart from Ronaldo, Marcelo and Benzema nobody seemed to give a *bleep*. *bleep* Coentrap was laughing with a Sevilla player at the end while Marcelo was almost crying. Just sell that son of a biatch. Anyway, this should make Ancelotti think about Lopez. Countless mistakes made by him in the last months, I don't care if he gets pissed, he has to make the team win. Bale lacks confidence, Modric was bad, and I mean Kaka-like. He holds the ball to much for a CM. This was one of Xabi's worst perfomances in a Madrid shirt, lucky not to get sent off.

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion Mk. 2
That's what Madrid gets for losing Mourinho. Karma, bitches.
Seriously the problem of Madrid is this:
1) The media hypes the Madrid players so much that they feel invincible, when in reality they have been inconsistent for a long time now. They have a bottling attitude quite surprisingly for such superstars. In other words, they aren't that good. Buying 100m euro superstars has also not helped the team. You can't buy trophies, you need to win as a unit like atletico or Farca. As such, the coach has no control over the team so much so that dumbasses like Ramos was able to overthrow a top manager in Mou. And now it's going to be Carlo. Madrid need to get their asses back on Earth because there are serious issues with the mentality of the team.

Nowhere near as hilarious as Madrid getting hyped every year when they go through a decent run of form and when crunch time arrives they fall like a pack of cards.
Happens every season, but still no one ever learns.... If they don't win anything this season you would think it would be lesson learnt but alas i doubt it.

This is not the problem.
The problem is that this bunch of losers let themselves get deflated by one loss, in a match we deserved to win. And then come out and put out the most pathetic performace of the season.
That's the problem.
Di Maria and Ramos in ASAP.
Edit: Casillas too.
I'm done with Diego, Just done.
Illaramendi can come in for Alonso too, for all I care.

That because neutrals (and Real-Barca fans) still have the idea that it is a 2 horse league, whereas the Top 6 is the strongest overall out of any league without a doubt. I just wish people would watch more outside the Top 3
No shame losing to Emery's Sevilla in the Pijuan.

There's nothing wrong with buying expensive players, just like there's nothing wrong with buying cheap players and developing them. Just 2 different strategies.
In terms of Mourinho, he only won one major trophy, played ugly football and caused problems everywhere. He wasn't all that good.
Either way we're only 3 points behind, not the end of the world.

Mourinho didn't build an era. He built absolutely nothing as his embarrassment is still felt in the confines of Bernebeu. If anything, blame Mourinho's clown car one-track team left to Carlo that still has to get off its inertia.

With a little more luck and less bottling from the BPITW they should have won 1 CL at least especially in that 11-12 season when they broke all sorts of records. Thank God Roman swallowed his pride and brought him back.

The yearly Madrid hype rollercoster:
June-August: Purchase every star available for 12000 bazillion euros and the fans and press are predicting they will win the treble.
August-December: Team runs into trouble trying to get their dysfunctional team to actually work, hype decreases substantially but fans are still hopeful.
January-March: The coach finally finds a system that works and Madrid beat laligascrubs by 7 goals margins. THE TREBLE TEAM IS HERE.
April: As Madrid enters the decisive face of the campaign the team inevitably flops. The fans and press wonder how this team assembled by how marketable each player is could have possibly failed.
May: The coach & players are scapegoated and the hype reaches negative levels. The fans and press have set the way for yet another summer cleaning.
Repeat endlessly.

I don't care how good Benz has been over the past few months. When you can't step up against Barca and in the Ramon Sanchez, what does it matter?
Tbh Madrid don't deserve to win the league. Barca and Atletico have got the better of us head to head and quite frankly winning the league without beating Barca at least once has no taste at all.

Nah mate. Leave it. Whether or not it hurts your soul you have to accept that as long as Benz is being a bitch our team is irrelevant. Ronaldo played shit, but you and I both know he would have buried a lot more goals than Benz had the chances fallen for him. End of discussion.

Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion Mk. 2
Madrid still got a way easier schedule than the other two imo. Tipping Madrid to win La Liga.
Re: La Liga 2013/14 Discussion Mk. 2
Madrid should have had the game won inside the opening twenty minutes. They had plenty of chances and Sevilla weren't looking anywhere close to solid at the back nor were they getting any joy going forward. It wasn't until the second half that they started defending deep with two banks of four and did a phenomenal job of it. Madrid couldn't penetrate through the middle, and were funnelled out into wide positions every time where they had players always coming inside.
In an effort to break Sevilla down, Madrid committed too many men forward, and they were caught on the break twice. Pepe, for the second goal, did a poor job in closing down Rakitic, and subsequently paid for it.
Madrid's pressing and ball retention was excellent, but this Sevilla side's strength is it's pace on the counter. When Sevilla are the ones trying to break the opposition down, they have a tendency to push too many forward and get caught on the counter, so maybe Madrid missed a trick there.
Carlos Bacca on 14 La Liga goals now (19 in all comps), currently proving me wrong as I didn't think he had this in him. Rakitic excellent, though I disliked the amount of times he exaggerated contact. Sixth win on the bounce, now six points behind Atheltic with Athletic vs Sevilla at the San Mames still to come. Think it'll take Atheltic choking for Sevilla to get fourth, but there's a possibility.

Yeah but Atletico can afford to slip up once and they could still have the league within its reach, whereas if Madrid slip again they can't win. Barca could probably survive a draw.

You don't play ugly football and break the La Liga record for goals scored in a season.
Despite the claims of this being the "Best Madrid team ever" they're only course to score less goals than they did under every season during Mourinho's tenure.
I sense a Zeru Tituli season coming. Barca will own them again in the Copa, they've got no chance in the CL and the League is already lost.

Great, now its left for Barca and CO as known as bunch of high pitched animals to drop few points so Atletico Madrid can potentially win the league.
