The Chelsea manager has placed his trust in the teenager French defender Kurt Zouma who was signed from St Etienne for £12.5m in January and will come into the first team squad after the World Cup finals. It is Zouma, 19, left on loan in France for the remainder of last season, who is regarded as the long-term replacement for Luiz in the Chelsea squad.

Quite funny since some could argue Zouma is the equivalent of Lukaku as a CB.

Physical specimen but so raw.

From what i have heard i am not sure if he is better then Kalas or Omeruo. More physically gifted then those two but can't say more then that.

The difference is that Lukaku needs good technique, Zouma, on the other hand, can get away with it.

Cahill doesn't have the greatest technique, yet he does fine.

As long as he learns positioning, decision making and other valuable traits from Cahill and Terry, He'll be a fantastic CB.
