Apparently Roma is looking for a proven, consistent and goalscoring winger and their number one target is Salah.

Actually, the deal is almost done, but Roma wants a loan with an option to buy and we want a loan with obligation to buy so when that is sorted out the move will be confirmed.

Because he scored against us and in that window we sold Mata and de Bruyne so we needed a fifth attacking midfielder.

Chelsea have given this guy a grand total of 530 minutes in the PL, that's less than 6 full games (has two goals) and you guys are laughing at him like he's Jozy Altidore :facepalm:

I just laughed at the fact that we bought him because he scored both winning goals of Basel's wins against us in 13/14 CL

But yea, like I said in another thread, buying him deliberately as a fifth choice AM before he ever played or trained for us was not wise as he did not provide enough competition and had not enough chance to prove his worth.

Chelsea are poised to let Mohamed Salah join Roma after the Italian club offered to pay £530,000 to take him on loan until the end of the season.

As well as paying a loan fee for Salah, Roma have agreed to cover his £43,000-a-week wages in full and to an option to buy him for about £11million at the end of the season.

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes made a bid to take Salah to Real Sociedad, but Roma are now confident of completing a deal.
