Gombau has signed a 2 year extension to remain at the helm of the Reds until the 2016/17 season.

Yeah, great game. Lulled a bit at the end and then Victory snatched it away when it looked like going to extra time. I'm pumped for the game tomorrow.  Very Happy

Sort of wanted Sydney to win because of ADP + they would've been easier to beat than MC if Adelaide had to face them eventually + it would've probably set up a Sydney derby.

It was a tough one for me, the feeling of knocking them out would of been the best, but if they knocked us out i dunno if i would be ready for that, that 3-1 loss at the last derby still haunts me.

2 years, 2 Grand finals. Heartland of football.

Bring on the Roar or Victory.

On a separate note, i find it funny how we have our own a-league section just so people can talk about random shit besides the a-league.

Glad WSW took out CCM after they parked their bus to victory against us last week.

Couldn't be any sweeter taking out CCM, i have feeling Roar might be too much for us next week.

Roar played well, but they were lucky to get through that last 5 mins without conceding a goal. IMO that was a clear penalty on Milligan and it should've been 1-1, but Muscat & MV have to accept much of the blame for that loss because they offered hardly anything going forward for 80 minutes.

We played well in the first half and fell a part in the second.

Why Boogaard thought he should make the tackel is beyond me

Everyone kept telling me Gallop was doing wonders in the game hahahahahah, like i said the guy's a *bleep* miserable flop.

Got given the job on a platter and has done nothing, had the biggest thing hit the Aleague and *bleep* it up.

Boogaard is an idiot, concede that goal and you guys prob still go on to win.

Is it too much to hope for a Melbourne City v Adelaide Utd final?

I think the two semi's are going to be good matches, regardless.

I think Victory and Sydney will go through, though.

A-League Discussion - Page 2 Empty Re: A-League Discussion

Post by Kick Tue May 12, 2015 4:42 am

So I thought, now that Utd's season is over, I'd put forward my thoughts of what Adelaide should do to become the best team in the A-League.

Overall the squad is pretty good, but a few area's need improving.

Due to the regulations, we can only add 1 international player, assuming we release Palanca (which we should).

So with Boogaard leaving for the Jets, we need a CB I think also think we really lacked a CM this season. Beyond Isaias and Carrusca, we lacked a CM who could prove to be vital in games. Jeggo is decent and Watson is average, so adding another international CM or good Aussie CM is vital. A CF would also be nice, due to Djite being rather on and off and not having a back up.

Out:
Boogaard
Palanca

In:
Billy Celeski/International CM
Australian CB, perhaps Curtis Good on loan? or Adrian Leijer or Eddie Bosnar.
Back up CF, perhaps Matt Simon?

Galekovic
Marrone Good Malik Elrich
Isaias
Carrusca Celeski/CM
Mabil Djite Cirio

Simon Sanchez
Goodwin Jeggo Konstandopoulos Kamau
Watson
Elsey McGowan Warland
Izzo

Thumbs up

I'm still super annoyed about how Adelaide lost to Sydney. Worst performance of the year.

I keep repeating this every time, this guy is the biggest incompetent flop to lead our game.

i'll say it again, the growth of the aleague in the past 2-3 years has nothing to do with the FFA and this clown.

Implementing the most obvious team in the league, no brownie points for that, really guys, that long ffs.

Del perio done more for the a-league than gallop the flop, and as the CEO instead of building that momentum and dropping cash on marquees, his dropped the ball.

How him and his tard of a side kick have dealt with this whole Media BS with the tard wilson and the pedo alan jones is ridiclous. FFA is a joke, will ruin the sport if they don't come and play ball, either support your biggest asset or fire these two clowns.

I can see a league wide boycott, tbh.

Isn't Gallop the same fool who got sacked from the NRL too?

He didn't get sacked by the NRL, he dumped us, and tbh I really liked him as the NRL CEO

How about we swap Dave Smith for David Gallopp?

So last round before the finals and 4 teams could still finish top, what a final round it will be

Adelaide play Melb City, too. Neither of them can afford to lose.
