Red Bull Salzburg 3-0 Bayern

Saw the highlight only and obviously this is pretty shocking. Bayern looked to have fielded a strong lineup, cant be sure as I cant find too much details on this friendly match. Did anyone watch it? It looked like Bayern being outplayed and Salzburg even missed a penalty.

I just cant help but get the feeling Pep has done well so far with Bayern, and they look so good at times, but this shows they are vulnerable and I wonder if othres can take this match to figure out how to beat Bayern? Very Happy

Didn't watch the match but knowing pep he probably used this match to experiment something new, and it being a friendly doubt the starters took to too seriously.

Pep was fielding someting like 3 and a half defense line, with Martinez at the right :facepalm:

Boateng on the left, and Hjoberg was something like an CB too. Alaba on the left wing, so you could say we were 'experimenting'.
You cab also say it wasn't a successful experiment lol, as after 20minutes we were 2:0 down and Pep tried to change it, but by that time it was a bit too late, and Salzburg played with the intensity of a Euro league final or something, they were all over us und did indeed 'outplay' us.

But think about it, what do you get a guy who's won everything for his birthday? Well, obviously the players thought an embarrassing defeat would be the right present Rolling Eyes

Loool Thanks for the details. Pep has tendency to over do things, but I remember thinking after the supercup I think it was where he vs Mou and I thought Mou clearly beat him again tactics wise.... so I guess its a nothing friendly, but to me its some doubts about him again now...

Just cos I support Barca doesnt mean I automatic agree with everything Pep, in fact I dont, the same goes with many Barca fans, u just dont know Smile
