It is not about what Madrid have done to him. It is just that Madrid have no patience for above average players. They want the absolute best and will accept nothing less even if the players have potential.

What happened to Sneijder is the best example to prove my point. GAGO should get out of Madrid if he wants to blossom. At the risk of going off on a tangent, any player with unrealized potential should not join Madrid in the interest of his career. Not many top clubs are patient, but Madrid is definitely the least patient of all the top clubs!

But Sneijder has been performing better than Kaka over the past 2 seasons right? Sneijder even won a CL in the meantime.

Sneijder blossomed with Mourinho. Look how he is now without Mourinho rofl. Gago and Sneijder are uncomparable. Gago once had a starting spot but he kept getting injured to a point where we needed to replace him. If anyone remembers our management board were flirting with him all the time, for example Valdano who called him the new Redondo.

Like I said before, he is good but his injurys will stop him.

Gago has some good qualities, he is a very good passer, which i think is his greatest quality.

now, people like to exaggerate about the other aspects of his game.

I have a lots of bad memories from gago tbh, when put under pressure, he almost always crumbled. he has quality, i dont think there is much doubt about it, but there are many things he does wrong as well. we only saw one very specific aspect of his game against CR, and the argies were taking a stroll.

we will see how he handles uruguay and the kind of pressure they put on him and the midfield.
