Marotta: The main reason we called this press conference was the lack of respect shown towards two serious, professional footballers. The Vucinic-Guarin deal was verbally agreed by both parties. Lets all forget about Isla and how unprofessional Juvi was. The difference is that Inter had the class not the whine to the media and complicate matters even more.

Wrong.The deal was close to completion but there was still a difference of 500k between both parties ,in the last minute Conte called the deal off and hence the deal fell apart.

Nothing compared to the total unprofessionalism and cluelessness shown by the Inter management here.Contracts were agreed,Vucinic even took a medical ,everything was agreed upon yet Inter's president who himself had no clue what his board members are doing decided to call it off ,all this after ultras' protest.

This is what happens when you have a president who isnt even in Italy half the time.

Oh please... it's not like the "president doesn't agree" card at the last second is new to Serie A. Milan and Berlusconi are masters at it. No need to get butthurt over it. That's just how business is done in Italy.

Heck, it's happened to me plenty of times in regular business too... it's a way of doing things that's not that uncommon: Until the main man agrees, nothing is done. If you want to get all excited about a deal when that's the organizational setup in front of you, you're just asking to get disappointed often.

The negotiations for Isla were still ongoing before Conte had a sudden change of heart. That is also clueless and unprofessional. And if you read Moratta's comments he said that Agnelli received a text from Thohir confirming the deal, which means he knew about the deal and agreed on it. The only reason Inter pulled out of the deal is because of the fans reactions, and that's not a first in Italy seeing how Juve did the exact same thing in 2009 when they almost bought Stankovic from us.

The deal was completed ,player took his medical,contracts were agreed upon and now both the players are furious because Inter decided to call it off.

This is what marotta said :

“The transfer had already been verbally agreed between the parties, namely myself and Marco Fassone.

“Yesterday at 10.48 President Andrea Agnelli received a text message from Erick Thohir giving the all-clear to the move.

“Vucinic is a great professional who helped us to earn two consecutive Scudetti. In the history of football, when a player empties out his locker, it is evident a transfer has been completed. Vucinic emptied his locker.

“It is the first time in my 30 years of negotiating players that I’ve seen such a shocking situation. As you can understand, the situation has left Vucinic and Guarin ill at ease.

“My presence was absolutely necessary to protect Juventus and confirm these players were mistreated. I also read rumours today on Vucinic’s medical, but must point out he played numerous games over the last two seasons and is physically fit.”

Next time please learn the situation before talking.

In the middle of the swirl of news about Mata and Vucinic, Salah to Liverpool is being underlooked. It is done, only the medical is left. Fee is £10 million.
