Don't want to sell Isla to Inter, because it'll probably be for that waste of space Ranocchia

Lucas Moura's agent says the Brazil midfielder won't be leaving PSG in January. Wagner Ribeiro said: "Lucas Moura isn't playing as much as we want, but he has been playing the most important games," he told Globo Esporte. It's not part of the plans to leave Paris now, he is slowing gaining his place in the team."

Are the new Valencia owners loaded with cash? I keep seeing them "linked" with all sorts of people when usually they are "linked" with selling it's players lol

Sounds like some rubbish. Last season we had Pep, apparently he wanted Pique sold away from the team (as well as Cesc, Villa and I forget who else) and it's one of the the reasons why he apparently fell out with Rossell (among others). So I seriously doubt that Pep all of sudden wants to purchase Pique for Bayern

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. III
I'm guessing more than a few LFC fans will be unhappy with hearing/seeing this, but Rodgers' comments from today/yesterday make me fairly certainly we're not actively pursuing a top CDM at all.
It sounds like Gerrard is going to sit in most matches (barring ones that require more defensive cover) with two of Allen, Henderson, and Coutinho running ahead of him.

With that a CDM drops off the list and fullbacks, CMs become the priority.
It sounds like Gerrard is going to sit in most matches (barring ones that require more defensive cover) with two of Allen, Henderson, and Coutinho running ahead of him.
“We’ve been playing with a single pivot and two in front since the game at Tottenham,” Rodgers said.
“I prefer it with two attacking players in the midfield three. I don’t like two defensive players, I’d rather have one defensive and two attacking.
“For the two pushed on, it’s about getting up, pressing and suffocating the game when we don’t the ball.
“When we have it, it’s about being positive and getting in the corridor in the box.
“It’s my preferred system when we have the players available but obviously certain games dictate certain tactics. At times we may need to spin it around and play the other way.”
...
“What’s important for me in the two advanced roles is that they have to be able to really go and press the ball high up the field. That’s how the system works.
“Jordan and Joe Allen did that exceptionally well in the games when Steven was out and Lucas was controlling in behind.
“If you flip it around and put Steven there, look at the range of passing he gives you and his agility with the ball. That leaves the other two boys in midfield to go and join in higher up the pitch like they did at Stoke."

Can't remember the last time Barcelona bought so many stars in one summer ...Yohan Modric wrote:David Luiz, Gundogan and ter Stegen on Barcelona's 2014 transfer list, according to Sport.
hopefully David Luiz wont be expensive, if the rumors are true and we actually go for him.
35m is far too much for a player who barely plays for Chelsea in the first place.

El Shaarawy wrote:Surprisingly, Hamsik went from highest assists in Serie A last year (14), to 0 assists this year. And its not like he compensated the lack of assists with goals. I guess injuries dealt a number on him.
Hamsik was scoring at an incredible rate of knots before his injury, everyone has simply forgotten about it since he's been out for so long now. He'd have 10 goals easily at this stage at the rate he was scoring. As Surag said, Hamsik would command 30 in this market at least. This being said, he's unlikely to be moving on. Behrami is out injured currently and Jorginho will be taking up a central midfield position. Napoli's wage bill is very low compared to other top Italian teams and they've essentially built their team to this stage without losing money. They only need to stretch their revenues a bit further to add the final pieces in central midfield and defence.

For what it's worth though, we ARE apparently expect to make some type of move(s) this window... so there's that (to LFC fans).
James Pearce @JamesPearceEcho 32m
@MoleyBTK @markpoletti Very quiet at present but still think club [LFC] will do something towards end of window.

Yes, but i didn't mention what his price tag can fetch for. Just merely food for thought by comparing last year's Hamsik to this year. Though as i mentioned, the injuries did bar him a lot this season. Only 12 apps and 6 goals. Though he was in monstrous form in the beginning of the season, that i agree with.dostoevsky wrote:El Shaarawy wrote:Surprisingly, Hamsik went from highest assists in Serie A last year (14), to 0 assists this year. I realised, the second half of that was more a general answer to everyone discussing Hamsik, I should have paragraphed, sorry.
I also think that it should be considered that Hamsik's only game time came at the beginning of the season when Higuain, Callejon and Mertens were still adjusting to the squad and Benitez was instilling his vision on the squad. Hamsik assumed a lot of the goal scoring responsibility during this period, however I believe we'd be seeing a more complete forward unit if he'd had the opportunity to play with them throughout these six months. That being said, I do expect Hamsik to continue to score more under Benitez than in previous seasons.
