Rather disturbing to see how underrated Olivier G-Rude has become in GL. Quite unfortunate his drop of form (despite his goal return) was product of the poor rotational skills of Wenger, who has a tendency to not rest his important players. As explained by me in another thread, it caused G-Rude to lose the best facets of the game, given his intelligence transcends to movement-link-up yet his physique cannot replicate that after such fatigue, especially given his height and weight. Big players are not meant to be abused like that.

His qualities are also intangible in how he opens up spaces, draws out defenders, tactically offers multiple channels; similar to strikers such as Pazzini, Müller, Welbeck, Negredo etc.

13 goals and 6 assists is also statistically impressive, for a striker who offers much outside his goals.

Good player, but needs someone to rotate/compete with. He looks worse at times because he doesn't.
