Radja Nainggolan
It's common knowledge now that Roma have beaten a lot of clubs (Milan, Napoli, Inter) to the signing of Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan from Cagliari. Another quality addition to the deeply talented midfield of Roma. What do you think his role will be? Will he start this season and if so, who will be benched? How much of an impact will he have at Roma?

Re: Radja Nainggolan
I think he's going to be thrown into the squad very quickly. DDR is likely suspend for at least 2 matches, if not 3 and while Pjanic dodged a serious injury, he's going to be out for at least the Samp and Genoa games coming up.
So this signing was as timely as can be. He won't have to worry about playing time until those 2 players are back to full effect.
From a tactical point of view, he can definitely fill in for Pjanic and provide input on the creative end while equally filling in for DDR on the defensive end. Since he's complete as a midfielder, Garcia is free to use him whenever and where ever he's needed. That type of versatility is extremely valuable.

Re: Radja Nainggolan
I think Pjanic will go the PSG in the summer. Nainggolan will play a lot this season, as Mclewis said DDR is suspended and expect him to start playing immediately. You can count on DDR getting a few more suspensions lol.

9.5 million for 50% of his rights. The deal could easily rise up to 19 million.

Yeah, the reports I've seen have the total fee at 18 million over 2 years.

I don't think that's the way it is.
Roma paid 3 million for loaning him this season, with obligation to buy 50% for 6.5 million.
Other 50% are usually less costly,so Roma could be looking at around 15-16 million in 3 installments. That's a steal in todays market IMO.

Re: Radja Nainggolan
Vibe's got the right of it.
Either way, considering his quality, he could end up being another Strootman tbh.
As a Bradley fan though, this is worrying. He's USA's best player so he's gotta get some time in, but with a stacked Roma midfield, that's looking increasingly like an uphill task for him.

About Bradley, AS Roma wants to give him to Hellas Verona. it has to do with the "partnership" to get Iturbe this summer. But the American player isn't so convinced to accept

Re: Radja Nainggolan
A good move from what I can tell. He would walk into Verona's midfield.
That said, he's probably keen to stay and fight for his place. That tells me he's not too worried about not getting minutes at the club ahead of the WC, but he'll be sharp nonetheless for USA.

Re: Radja Nainggolan
Send him to Anfield... he'd start for us, the owners are good friends, and we could really use his drive. PLEASE! You already stole Strootman from me... don't waste Bradley as well.

Re: Radja Nainggolan
Doubt Bradley would go to Hellas considering his mammoth status in Chievo would bring doubts upon that along with his love for the club. American players, I have noticed are quite aware of those boundaries.
Though I do not think that the arrival of Nainggolan will necessarily spell the end of his Roma tenure, given how Garcia does value him yet it certainly is an ambitious task to which would better be spent in....maybe a club like....
Milan or Liverpool.
Just an example.

Re: Radja Nainggolan
Believe me, I would love to see Bradley head to Liverpool if he couldn't play for Roma. It's one of the real mysteries of the game that Roma and Liverpool haven't even broached that subject, even for a loan.

We've wanted Iturbe for the past few months now
15m release clause would be pretty easy for us to trigger as well in the summer. Very surprised Porto set it so low.

Pjanic will stay honestly. We need him for the CL next season. As good as Nainggolan is, he cannot completely replace Pjanic as he doesn't have the creative ability that Mira has.

Re: Radja Nainggolan
I really liked Bradley, and I Milan would bid for him.
Regardless, 6.5 Million a year is hard to refuse, and I bet that it had more weight in his decision than playing time.
All in all, Bradley is officially the most successful American to play in Italy, and he could look back at his (3?) years with pride.
