Spurs fans are human beings too. They receive too much unnecessary hate sometimes.

Maybe midfield, specifically creative ams who look more to create than score.. But that's it. Our attack and defense is about as thin as it gets
The fact that Liverpool had to bring in Brad Smith (who is a left back and has never ever played for us before and just came back from a major injury) to play as a wide forward against Chelsea because we have zero depth I'd say yes you have major depth compared to some of your competition.

Maybe prior to all the injuries but now if we don't sign some forwards well be stretched so thin Romeo Beckham might have a spot on the bench

Walcott isn't 5% the player for England that he's for Arsenal....
And for all this so called depth they supposedly have they have no one like Walcott.
It's apples and oranges, comparing players' stats in NTs and at clubs.
Fact is that England's best attacking threats are Rooney and Walcott, maybe Sturridge. After that we're talking about hopeful shouts like Welbeck or Old Guard Lamps and Gerrard or handful-of-caps, try-outs Lallana and Townsend. Whereas Arsenal have Ramsey, Özil, Cazorla, Giroud and Podolski at least who all carry great attacking threat. Not to mention it's early days in January and they may well add to their squad by buying players, something England can't do. To me it's clear his injury hinders England more than Arsenal - although results wise Arsenal may suffer more, because England are never going to win in Brasil whether or not Walcott was in the squad but Arsenal might have gotten a few more points in the PL table if they had Walcott.

Horrible. The pony will forget his one and only trick.sportsczy wrote:No chance for WC. ACL injuries take 6 months just to heal minimum... after that, it's rehab. Most times, you take 12 months or more just to get back to full speed.
As far as full speed... this is a huge issue. ACL full tears take your speed down. You'll never be as fast or as explosive. Just the way it is.

The BBC should commission an episode of Dr Who wherein the plot revolves around him going back in time and rescuing you from 2008ExtremistEnigma wrote:Horrible. You tellin' me Walcott with Torres-esque pace be just as effective?
It's really sad tbh. It's the worst injury he could've succumbed..

Who has about 15-20 more good performances than Walcott does for England.... i don't rate him higher than Walcott but more often than not Welbeck gets it done for England where as Walcott doesn't.
If anything England has better forwards than Arsenal anyway.... Rooney, Sturridge etc etc would walk into Arsenal's team considering the alternatives.
The fact Arsenal fans are talking about Gnabry covering for him says all you need to know.
Your post implies that England fans see the Arsenal Walcott and in fact we never have..... we see an average player who offers close to nothing the majority of the time.
Not his fault but we just don't have the players to use him properly, we can't miss a player who never did anything for us to miss in the first place.

Most of the people in the world consider stats a word of GOD. By all means stats mean nothing. Tell me how do you rate Valencia for united ? Most people here will call him average but wtf look at it from a wider perspective u will see his the focal point in United's attack.
I'm saying that Walcott purpose in the team was a fast right forward capable of making runs behind the defense. We have ganbry who can replace him like by like. The goals will come.

Theo walcott will for sure not be missed because we have players who can do what he does.
For me the system is more important not who plays. Some players do make the difference but in this case the players behind walcott are still there and they made walcott what he is. He walcott didn't do anything individual brilliant he was a team player and nothing happens if he replaced like by like.
To say more gnabry has that ability to take on defenders something walcott lacked.

I agree with your point, however the Valencia example doesn't work, one of the most perplexing things about Utd's football is why a winger as average as Valencia indeed is the focal point of Utd's attack.

You're wrong imo. First of all Walcott is much more experienced than Gnabry . that alone is the reason i don't see the latter as a better option than him. It's like saying Jenkison could easily replace Sagna.
I won't trust a young Gnabry , as good as he is, right now in a tittle battle.

Look at his performances.
This is why i said wenger will need to be strong. Gnabry is a like to like replacement much better suited to arsenal than playing ramsey etc on wings as wide players

How is it possible that he got such a serious injury? He just fell on the floor and he wasn't even in pain.
A pitty, poor guy can't get a break. Arsene's style of not keeping players healthy...

Everytime things start to look better something happens. Wenger made the wrong decision he should have subbed of Walcott when he brought ozil on. But I as a fan was looking forward to ozil playing through balls to Walcott and Ganbry. You say the final score was 2-0 it would have finished at least 6-0. It backfired but none of it matters. Arsenal can replace him.

Its a blow for England but for Arsenal is a tragedy.
The only player who can make a difference is out now .
Gnabry and OX can cover up that area but we still need to buy a genuine striker.

How boyzis can say he won't be missed is beyond me. Sure I get his point that Gnabry (maybe Chamberlain as well) are able enough to do a job at RW. But what Walcott gives us is goalscoring and quite clinical finishing, something which the other two still has to prove. And Walcott is our only big game player imo. He can win us those big matches with his skill set.
