Also, the Bale deal is reported at 90+ mil per Madrid and UK media are saying 100. At most, you're looking at maybe a 10 mil discrepancy. In Barca's case, the discrepancy is 40 mil..harhar11 wrote:
Out of topic, but then shouldn't Real Madrid do the same with Bale? I mean, IIRC, to this day Real Madrid have not revealed what they payes for Bale and they are also a public entity.
Needless to say, I dont understand why Barca and Real Madrid have to hide what they really payed for Neymar and Bale if they have not done anything illegal.
There is no discrepancy in the Neymar deal. We know that Barca payed a total of 57m, and from that amount only 17m went to santos + the company that own a % of his image. What we do not know is where the rest 40m went and thats why the member is suing the directors.
Anyway, my point was that what you just said regarding barca being a public entity and having to reveal the price of every player they sign, it can be said about Real Madrid aswell, but they themselves have not revealed what they paid for Bale.
Actually it is revealed which was reported as 92.5 mill euros. The problem here is Barca can not pay Neymar a 40 mill euros as transfer fee, that is obvious case of tax fraud, because transfer fee has no tax while wage has 50 % tax in Spain.
Re: An obvious case of corruption and tax fraud
Well technically Neymar owned 5% of his own rights, which Barcelona bought for 40m. Fishy ? sure thing, but its legal non the less.

No one has revealed the OFFICIAL price. Real Madrid has leaked to the press that they payed €92.5m and a couple of directors have said that aswell, but Tottenham has done the same but they are saying that Real Madrid payed €101m euro.
So no, it has not been revealed.

well image rights sold is accounted as revenue hence Neymar will have to pay taxes for it.. Transfer fee doesnt have tax...any way 40 mill payed for 5% image rights is way too fishy and Barcelona isnt doing that.
@ harhar.
As a public entity Real Madrid has to show every transfer fee in its annual report. It is not compulsory to release details midway in a financial year. Barcelona probably released the transfer details to its socio which is why your own memeber is suing your club over 40 million spent.

Not image rights, a company owned by his father was acting as a third party and owned 5% of him. Barca paid 40m for this fraction and thus it counts as a transfer fee. A clever loophole if you ask me

Im no expert, but if this is true and Neymar only owned 5% of his rights how come he got 40million, while the remaining 95% of him was only valued at 17.5 million ?
Shouldnt the value of each % be valued the same ?
If Barca has to negotiate with each 3rd party seperately why was DIS 35% taken from the 17million sent to Santos and not the 57 million total ?
Or if DIS 35% negotiated directly with Barca, why didnt they hold out for 280 million lol, after all neymars 5% was worth 40 million.
If Barca was able to negotiate directly with N&N for their 5% of neymar why didnt DIS also do the same ?
So many questions, so few answers, nor do i speak portuguese or spanish so i can actually understand who owned how much of neymar.

You ask very good questions but no one really have the answers. There are a lot of missing details so all we can do is make informed guesses at this point. What we know is that DIS did not negotiate directly with Barcelona so that's probably a part of their agreement with Santos.

As predicted, nothing came out of it.
"The judge does not detect any irregularities in the signing of Neymar."

The lawsuit filed by a member of FC Barcelona against Sandro Rosell for alleged irregularities in the signing of Neymar will come to nothing.
As reported in Wednesday's 'The Confidential', the High Court has not detected any irregularities in the signing of the Brazilian player by the Catalan club for 57 million Euros.
Judge Pablo Ruz, whose court dropped the lawsuit, analyzed the documents delivered by FC Barcelona on December 18th without finding any infringements.

The point of news/threads such as this is not to "expose facts", but to spread propaganda. The accusations carry more weight in the mass consciousness than the truth. In that respect they are quite successfull.
