Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
Good PPV but could've been way better. The brotherhood dropping their belts was expected if The Usos are to win them on Mania, cant complain there.
Bryan vs Brey was a sick match. I could argue for either man winning, but after Bryan did the job here i was hoping he would at least have a solid presence in the rumble if not win it, but the WWE is the land of the giants and we seem to forget that.
Big show vs Lesnar was pointless. If you're building Lesnar up at least have him wrestle, and these countless chair shots did nothing to add to the Lesnar character.
The title match was okay and it became great in the end. Glad that the crowd was crapping on it and im impressed with how Cena and Orton reacted. Still the highlight of the match for me was the crowd.
The rumble itself was a huge disappointment minus Roman Reigns and advancing The Shield story line. I was expecting one of Sting or Goldberg, if not both, but we got Kevin Nash instead. Oh wee. Although i was hoping to see him, I kinda expected Bryan not to be in the match simply because i know how vince likes to run his business. Again the crowd was the highlight of the match as they crapped all over the winner.
Hopefully the WWE will learn a lesson here. Give the *bleep* people what they *bleep* want. In Washington they probably shrugged off the reaction because it was Bryan's home state, but its a theme now, every arena the WWE goes to Daniel Bryan is the hottest guy out there and the crowd will continue to get behind him because they know he is being pushed down on purpose.
Final thoughts, the WWE only scrapped Bryan joining the Wayetts because whatever plans they had for Cena and Hogan didnt go through after the latter wasnt cleared to wrestle. And we thought that they were coming back to their senses.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
That was without a doubt, on first viewing, one of the most boring rumbles I have ever seen. And its pretty hard to screw up a rumble match.
Not because Bryan wasn't in the rumble because I didn't really care for that, but there were way too many jobbers in the match. Nothing happened until at least 20th+ entrance. Punk was the only big name for a majority of the match and really did nothing of note the whole match. I did like the Kane/Punk interaction but thought it was super lame for Kane to so easily come in and eliminate Punk like that (yes I know it has happened in the past).
Batista winning just annoys be because he now joins Hogan, HBK, Austin and Cena as the only people to win more than one rumble. Guess who the odd one out is.
The only redemption that I can see is if Lesnar or Bryan win the WWE title next month, because I have no interest whatsoever seeing Batista v Orton or Batista v Cena.
Prediction WM card to be something like:
Cena vs Wyatt (why?)
Lesnar vs Taker (most predictable winner of all time)
Batista vs Orton (ugh)
Punk vs Kane
Bryan vs HHH

I still think Bryan's going to main event WM. They can't surely ignore all the reactions. If he isn't main eventing, every match will consist of Bryan/yes chants, just like at the rumble.
He lost to Wyatt clean, however Bryan had a concussion too and that spot outside aggravated it.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
Batista was legitimately upset after he won the Royal Rumble match tonight after the crowd turned on him.
On his way back up the ramp, Batista got into a verbal altercation with a disgruntled fan who flipped him off. Batista could be seen on the big screen telling the fan that he'd snap him in half and then flipped the fan off while still on the big screen.
He then mockingly did the "Yes!" chant at the top of the ramp while fans peppered him with boos. However, instead of using his pointer fingers, he used his middle fingers and flipped the crowd off.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
As noted earlier, Mick Foley took to his Twitter and wrote that he was "disgusted" by tonight's WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view. He blogged about tonight's PPV on his Facebook account, here is a portion of what he wrote:
"As I mentioned on Twitter, I've never felt so disgusted at the conclusion of a WWE (or any) PPV. Like many of you out there, I just don't get it. This Daniel Bryan thing is a phenomenon. You get it. I get it. The fans in Pittsburgh (yes, I was thinking of writing 'RIGHT TH...but I'm just not in a cheap pop mood) got it. But tonight, for the first time, I had to admit to myself that the powers that be are just not going to get it. And that makes me sad. I'm just honestly sad, just flat out f-cking sad (yes, I dropped an F-bomb there to emphasize how F'ing sad I am for the guys who bust their butts night in and night out - Ziggler, Punk, Bryan, etc - with no hope of getting their shot at this year's Mania.
"You know who else I'm sad for? Me. In my two years as an official WWE Ambassador, I never once had to lie about my enthusiasm for the company or the product. Now, although I am no longer officially an Ambassador for WWE (believe it or not, my only official role in WWE is as GM for Saturday Morning Slam, a contract that ends in one month) I was till looking forward to being part of the biggest event of the year. I'll probably end up going anyway. But I'm about 1/6th as excited about it as I was just a few hours ago. I wanted so badly to hear 75,000 WWE fans chanting 'YES' - and seeing fans walk away absolutely ecstatic about the outcome of a PPV for the first time in a while...a long while. But when given the chance to make it happen (unless they've got something MAJOR up their sleeve) WWE's answer tonight was a resounding 'NO, NO, NO'."

I don't think WWE were expecting to hear Roman getting cheered to win over Batista at all.

Even Hogan/Rock/Austin probably would have been booed. Only person the fans wanted winning was Bryan.

Stop trolling.
Only reason people like Bryan (they even used to do it with zach ryder)get cheered is because he's just a way for people (older generation of fans) to express their dislike for the current way WWE operate. Even Bryan knows it, that's why he panders to them with his "they dont believe in me" schitck. It's anti-regime. Hipsters, the lot of them.
WWE just need to actually develop legit stars and people will stop, IMO. They seem to be going that way with Bray and Reigns, though
But I think they did the right thing with Reigns not winning the Rumble, him breaking the elimination record is still huge but means it doesn't feel forced.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
Same could be said for Punk too when he cut the worked shoot a few years ago. They cheered him because they wanted the whole product to change, not just because they wanted Punk to be champion. However it doesn't mean Bryan/Punk aren't talented, both have something special, which is why they get a big reponse from the crowd. Plus it's not just the older generation chanting, it's the casual fans like the kids/women etc too.
Bryan not being in the rumble is on the BBC site too.

EVERYONE is disgruntled, not just internet/old fans. You had a whole arena booing the come back baby face star, and even on twitter fans of all ages are voicing their disgust. So unless the WWE wants 70,000 fans crapping over MW30 they have to do something tonight. We wait and see.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
I doubt Batista/Orton will main event WM in a singles match. Orton barely has any credibility.
Right now best they can do is:
EC:
Have Lesnar vs Orton for the title.
Then a 6 man EC to determine a no#1 contender to make it a triple threat at WM.
Bryan vs Cena vs Bray Wyatt vs Sheamus vs CM Punk vs Del Rio/RVD/etc.
Or maybe Punk vs Kane at EC.
Then WM:
Bryan vs Batista vs Orton
Lesnar vs Undertaker
Cena vs Wyatt
CM Punk vs Triple H
Bryan vs Batista vs Lesnar would be much better though.

I don't understand why people like Bryan so much
He's f*cking meh lol.
Would much rather push Reigns or Bray over that scrub.
They are more entertaining, have a more varied skillset and have a miles better gimmick.
Seriously his gimmick is shit, his in ring skills are meh and his mic skills are sub standard.

Reigns has a gimmick, moveset and mic skills? The only thing he has is a spear.
In terms of Bray Wyatt, I can't see how he'll interact with the crowd with riddles if he ever main events.

No one is complaining about Reigns dominance, or even the fact that Bryan lost to Brey. It's the fact that he wasnt in the rumble that pissed a lot of people off.

Also you need to watch every episode of RAW to understand why Bryan is over and why people like him.
Anyone would be confused on why people like him if they watched WWE every 6 months.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 8
Lmfaoooo Batista
He's a heel personality in real life, might aswell stop the babyface crap because it doesn't suit him at all.
Also, I'm not pissed at all. Stars like Batista don't have that long left. So it's better to use these big names in main events instead of wasting them so somebody who's in their mid 20s can burry them.
Reigns broke a record, he's now going to be a significant entrant into every royal rumble he enters for the rest of his career. He's probably got 10-15 rumbles left in him ffs
Batista and the likes will be completely finished in the next few years. They're already main eventers. You don't burry main eventers for the sake of it. Reigns will go far, he will probably be a main eventer. But he has plenty of time left unlike Batista
That's like saying, let's burry Brock Lesnar and have Dolph Ziggler beat him clean 2 PPVs in a row.
What you're left with, is a wrestler who's not ready to main event fighting for the belt whilst an actual main event draw is left out.
Rumble was ok, not great. Like people said, too many jobbers. They should never have wasted Kane like they did.
The Bray - Bryan match was one of the best i've seen in a long time. Both superstars are exciting to watch in the ring, no doubt.
Orton - Cena started off pretty shit, but it did pick up the pace and was exciting towards the end. Hopefully they're done competing against each other for the next 5 years because the crowd hate those matches
"We want divas"
"Randy savage"
"boooooooo"
Lesnar - Show was stupid. It had it's brief, exciting moments. But I knew as soon as they went for the whole 'pre match beatdown' angle, the match would have no flow to it whatsoever.
Brocks appearances are limited enough, you wait months for him to compete at a main event. Only for him to not really compete, in a main event.
Bray - Bryan 9/10. I think it could have been close to 10 if it was a special match type. There's only so much you can do in a regular pinfall match.
Lesnar - Show 7/10. Would be lower, but for the short time where it was interesting, it was pretty epic.
Cena - Orton 7.5/10. The crowd trolled them, was hilarious. The match itsself was very interesting when they started hitting each others finishers. Before that, it was painful to watch though.
Rumble 8/10. 8 seems like a big score, but normally rumbles are one of the best matches of the year, period. This wasn't even the best match in the RR PPV. It had its moments, and Reigns came out of it looking like the future face of the company. Batista is back in the main event. Which is much more interesting than it was several months ago.
Too many jobbers, and surprise entrances like that little midget bull are just stupid. They're supposed to be for a shock "wow wtf" moment, but we've seen it all before. It's a waste of a spot
Speaking of wastes of a spot, 30 should always be a legit wrestler. Not that sack of shit Rey Mysterio. Boooooo.

F4Wonline.com reports that despite everything that went down, or didn't go down, at the Royal Rumble last night, WWE is still planning on pushing Daniel Bryan in a big way.
__________________________________________________
As noted, Batista argued with fans on his way up the ramp after the Royal Rumble match last night and was seen flipping them off. There were some people backstage that were not happy about this.
There was a lot of negative feedback coming from fans on their way out of the arena after last night's Royal Rumble in Pittsburgh.

Bryan had a legit concussion, and he took a huge head bang in his match
Also, all it would have done was pissed off fans even more. Batista was definitely winning this, so seeing Bryan get beaten twice would have been seen as a slap in the fact to his groupies.

i was sooooooooo disappointed in the RR yesterday. Batista winning was obvious, Roman Reigns is gonna be hugeeeeeee for WWE very soon, WTF is with all these jobbers??? I was waiting and waiting for the Ultimate Warriors song at #30 (he was tweeting last night and showing little clips of his past RR i thought he would have been one of the suprises), If he came out, i would have had sexual intercourse with my TV lol. instead who do i get? an overweight 40+ yr old piece of trailer pork trash Rey Mysterio. Happy with Sheamus return, DB vs BW match was awesome. Cena vs Orton was nice, Big Show vs Lesnar was entertaining lol. he ate at least 573 926 chair shots
