I actually think he'll be great for AC if he does drop his defence line a tad deeper.

He'll get the best out of El Shaa, Ballotelli and Honda I think. And Niang in the future if he stays after the initial 6 months. The only problem is, that they'll be more lack of a relationship between him and the board as AVB will want total control and he won't get it there.

He never did that at Chelsea or Spurs despite neither playing it well, what makes you think he'll change at Milan?

Yeah, Valencia's defense is utter garbage anyway. He can't do much wrong there.

@Dani, though Bale was always special, his improvement under AVB was incredible. Yes some can be attributed to giving him more freedom and putting him as the talisman of the team, but Bale's form the second half of 2012-2013 was ridiculous. Looked like a different player.

As for the high line, shame he got sacked when he did with Verts and Rose and Chiriches back.

Put those 3 in the backline with Walker and the defense would have been as good as it was at the beginning of the season I reckon. Not that I pardon AVB for being stupid enough to play it with the likes of Dawson and Capoue and Naughton.

AVB under Milan management brb mental asylum. He couldn't maintain good relations with the board members at even Spurs.. let alone Chelsea. He'll be ripped to shreds at Milan.

No.. he got sacked because they were utterly clueless at times and got humiliated by better teams without putting up a fight. Also, I'm sure they would've been 8/9 points from the top now if AVB was still in charge.

Sure it's weird if you look at it like that, but spurs brought in a shit tonne of players, had no attacking identity, scored less than 1 goal per game and conceded 11 goals in 2 big games. They were a joke, it's just a weird season all round because most of the other big clubs were in transition with new managers taking over.

Spurs also earned quite a few points from dodgey penalty calls. They were a train wreck, anybody who watched them a few times can tell you they weren't improving as the season went on. They were actually regressing.

Away form was never an issue under AVB both last and this season.Infact Spurs have the best away record in the league this season.So dont see why spurs would have lost against a second choice Southampton defence suddenly if AVB was in charge

I actually think he could do well in Italy. It's really a shame that the AC Milan job came open so soon after he had left Tottenham. Had Allegri been sacked after the season, AVB might've had a shot at that job.

I want him to stay as far away from Milan as possible.
