Re: Champions League Draw – Round of 16
I am pretty sure Spanish clubs won't play each other in semi-final so Chelsea will play either of them. Both Madrids are equally strong, but AM has an edge - confidence. My Bet
Chelsea - RM
AM - Bayern
let's see
Chelsea - RM
AM - Bayern
let's see

Re: Champions League Draw – Round of 16
I definitely want Atlético Madrid. If they think that they're going to have the same chances they had against Barca and intimidate us with their aggressiveness then they couldn't be more wrong. If they are going to just pack the middle and give away lots of fouls, fair enough, we'll cross it like there's no tomorrow. The only difference is that this time they're not going to face 1.70cm tall midgets, no, they will be facing a predator like Eto'o, they will be facing Demba the man the legend, they will be facing the three most threatening defenders in the world right now in Iva, JT and Cahill. And I really trust Mou. It really looks like he's enjoying this job, surely more than every other he had, and I'm sure that he now has more support
and esteem from our players than ever and even if he doesn't read Goallegacy/reads Goallegacy but doesn't agree with me I'm sure he would know how how to defeat them.
I don't have a preference between Bayern and Real. I mean, yea, they are probably the favourites because their players and their managers are really used to play this kind of games and because they're actually two very strong teams, but if there's one man who knows best how to stop Real Madrid and Ancelotti, that would be José Mourinho, and if there's one club who knows best how to stop Bayern Munich and Guardiola that would be Chelsea Football Club.

"It's a number we can't afford to pay."
"The problem is whether he can play or not if we come up against Chelsea. It could be that he cannot, the contract is the contract."

Re: Champions League Draw – Round of 16
If we could have hand-picked a group for ourselves beforehand, we couldn't have done a better job than that.

Re: Champions League Draw – Round of 16

Full draw.
Group of Death for City and a potentially tricky one for Arsenal. Liverpool will be happy with theirs.

I'm seeing some pretty good matches there. Groups B, D, and E. Pretty tough for those Clubs there.

Re: Champions League Draw – Round of 16
Mourinho on Monday's draw:
— via chelseafc.com
‘We have five possible opponents and everyone is hard. People may think Basel is easy but we lost twice against them last year and they beat Liverpool and a few years ago they beat Man United, so I don’t think they are easy. Paris would be good because it is easy for us to travel and the fans to travel, but we can’t decide the draw.’
‘I am happy Man City and Arsenal went through because I work in England and I care about the prestige of English football. We have also Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton in the Europa League so I wish them well too.’
‘At the same time it is good for us if direct opponents in the Premier League are involved in European competitions. Man United are not, they have the same advantage Liverpool had last year in the Premier League and it is a big advantage.’
