Southampton were shit and get a goal due to Santon being a moron and we throw a game away which we should have won comfortably.
Remy Missed two easy chances.... one was cleared off the line and another was a horribly missed 1 on 1
Unless we win the next two games i will not get over this game for a long long time.
Absolute joke so f*cking annoyed.
I know them feels. 1-1 at OT saints score in the 86th min- scrappy set piece goal.
BUT....I'm pleased with this result. Gives Utd a chance to close the gap up the table....if we win.

Tbh, even though the way the draw came about was frustrating, I thought they fully deserved the point. They've arguably been the best team to visit OT this and last season, imo.

He doesnt give a shit about the fans. Even if you lose the match so badly first thing you do is acknowledge the fans who sat through those 90 minutes of you playing shite.
Mertesacker is my new Arsenal favorite. What a leader.
Ozil has always been a subdued person when it comes to post match interviews, interaction with the fans etc. even when his team has been victorious.
If he hasn't been acknowledging traveling fans since his Madrid days then forgive me for my ignorance.

Oh yeah for sure they deserved it. Just the annoyance of the sucker punch their equalizer gave us.

He isn't used to traveling fans. In Spain there are only like 10 away fans present most of the time.

Will Wilshere get banned for this?
Can only applaud him for doing that to City fans.

Re: Barclay's Premier League discussion '13-'14 V4
iirc the ref was spot on with the Bendtner goal (the last one of the ones RG posted, right?), watching it again Bendtner was one foot (not in measurement terms, but literally his foot) ahead of the defender. Close but I thought it was right...I'd have to watch it again to be sure though.
Other than that the AR's were terrible.
Handling decision would be incredibly harsh to give. Once you start punishing every accidental handle like that then you step into dangerous territory. I'm glad the rules indicate it has to be intentional, and that certainly wasn't intentional. Nor was his arm in an unnatural position. It's unfortunate for Arsenal but giving a penalty there would have been harsh, too.
Anyway, not that I agree with Ozil and it's not good behavior to ignore the fans like that...but being beat 6-3 in a game that was pretty important like that, you kind of have to understand how upset he may be. We're not all perfect or rational when we're upset like he must have been. Good on Mertesacker for being able to put it behind him enough to acknowledge the fans but not everyone can in the moment.
Anyway, fun game to watch.

Suarez got a ban for doing it to Fulham fans 2 years ago, so Wilshere should get similar punishment.
But he's English, and it's the FA. He'll probably get away free

How can he get his arm out of the way when he tries to block the ball with his upper leg and the ball bounces from there to his arm?DuringTheWar wrote:Im not entirely sure that handball was accidental, I mean, im sure he could have got his arm out of the way if he wanted to
These penalties are given sometimes, but I think it would be VERY harsh.

It will be the Usual Arsenal vs Chelsea game where Arsenal come out firing and Chelsea scores 2 goals out of nowhere. Arsenal will fight back and lose the game 3-1.
Mata will score at least 2 goals.

Well id put it this way, his arm didn't need to be there, he could have had it out of the way. But because it was a difficult pass to intercept, I think he left it there as "insurance". If he cant stop it with his thigh at least his arm would be there to block it. He could have had his arm by his side but it would have made it difficult for him to stop the ball.
