Re: Alvaro Pereira
Swansea City Interested In Inter Defender
Swansea City are reportedly interested in signing Inter defender Alvaro Pereira during the January transfer window.
The 28-year-old has seen less time on the pitch since the arrival of coach Walter Mazzarri over the summer and could be looking to leave the Nerazzurri this winter, with clubs such as Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur supposedly looking to secure his services.
According to the Daily Mail, Swansea are another team that may want to land the Uruguayan international in January and have apparently taken a step forward in contacting the Biscione regarding a possible deal.
Pereira joined Inter from Portuguese side Porto for a fee of around €10 million in 2012 and has scored one goal in his 33 Serie A appearances for the club thus far.
The defender has also played a key role in the senior Uruguay national team since 2008 and is hoping to spend as much time preparing on the field as possible ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

Re: Alvaro Pereira
Official - Pereira leaves for Sao Paulo
The Uruguay international has left the Giuseppe Meazza side and will continue his career on loan at the Brazilian outfit
Sao Paulo have confirmed on their official website that they have secured the services of Alvaro Pereira from Inter on an 18-month loan deal.
The Uruguay international had made only five Serie A appearances under Walter Mazzarri in this campaign and was keen to leave the club in order to get regular first-team action elsewhere.
Pereira had previously been linked with Olympique de Marseille, but has now opted to make the move to Sao Paulo in an attempt to boost his World Cup chances.
"It is a great pleasure and a huge challenge to play for Sao Paulo. I want to keep up the tradition of successful Uruguayan players here," Pereira commented on the move.
"It's a dream come true to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world."
The 28-year-old started his professional career with Miramar and also wore the jerseys of Quilmes, Argentinos Juniors, CFR Cluj and Porto before joining Inter in the summer of 2012.
Pereira failed to live up to the high expectations at the Nerazzurri, though, and has mainly been confined to the bench this season.
