Re: - Mr. Antonio Conte | Former Coach 2011-2014 -
Conte never said he was exhausted this was only given by media as some of the reason or maybe as an explanation as to Why he left.
Also i highly doubt Allegri was only contacted the day before his assignment but this is all down to Contes talks to the club after the Scudetto celebrating in which he made it clear he would ONLY stay if certain players was reached. In this situation the club hoped they would be able to pull some of the asked players and keep Conte but must have had in mind this was not easy players to pull when u wont compromise on the budget... Hence the resignation

Di Marzio wrote:Only the signature was missing, now it has arrived: Antonio Conte is the new coach of the Italian national team. He put pen-to-paper on the two-year contract few minutes ago, as reported by Sky Sport’s Alessandro Alciato. FIGC will announce his appointment shortly. Antonio Conte will coach Azzurri.
Wasnt interested much in watching Italy before except in major tournaments but now i'm really keen on watching how the Azzurri take shape from here on.

Would be surprised if 3-5-2 wasn't implemented as all the players we done it for at Juve will be at the Euros at the very least. Some will make it to a WC in 2018 I imagine

Di Marzio wrote:Antonio Conte reached an agreement with the Italian Federation to become Italy’s next coach. The former Juventus coach starts this new adventure motivated and determined, he wants to win with Azzurri. The first ideas are clear: Conte, along with his staff, will coordinate all the youth teams. A daily work, detailed and meticulous, like he loves to do. He’ll plan the practices like in a club. The main tactic will be 3-5-2, or better 3-3-4. As reported by Sky Sport’s Giovanni Guardalà, Conte is already studying some important tactical variations, De Rossi will be a key element. In the defense, Ranocchia will be the ideal replacement of Barzagli. Candreva will be very important, he could play similarly to Lichtsteiner. On the left, Darmian, but he isn’t the only option: he likes Pasqual a lot. In the attack, he’ll trust Immobile, Rossi and Pazzini. Conte studies the first ideas and methods as Italy’s coach, not a simple selector.
So he'll be working on a daily basis ? Interesting..

It is going to be interesting since Conte has been a failure in Europe and there is no local game vs Italian opponents so his experience knowing Italian teams is also not that helpful.

TBH I feel very angry, agitated and infuriated. I dont wish him luck there cuz of the way he left, even though he says loves us soo much... if he loved us, he would've adapted and accepted what marrora is offering...

Di Marzio wrote:Antonio Conte will be introduced as Italy’s new coach next Tuesday in Rome at 11.30 am local time. The former Juve coach will sign a two year deal, these are terms as reported by Alciato for Sky Sport: Conte will receive 2 million euro from the Federation (the combined salaries of Prandelli and Sacchi since Conte will cover both of their previous roles), 2 million from the Azzurri’s sponsor Puma, as well as the following bonuses: 1 million euro for qualifying for the Euro, 500.000 euro for improving Italy’s FIFA ranking by 5 slots as well as another 500.000 euro for reaching the Euro final. Conte is ready to start the next chapter of his career leading the Azzurri.
Thats a pretty heavy contract. Not bad.

I don't think his European failures will be that big of a deal. National team football is completely different on the international stage. Clubs have the ability to field teams with players from all over the world. However, with national teams, you have to work with you have and teams can't necessarily deploy the same tactics that work for clubs in UCL, with a few exceptions. So, I think Conte's style of play very well could work.
I actually don't think the 3-5-2 failed in Europe because of its actual formation. I think it failed because we didn't have the right players to fill that formation. Mainly, we lacked good wingers and/or fullbacks. We would have had the same issues with just about any formation because we really lacked players on the flanks.

I'm over it. I am ok with him coaching the NT. If he went to another club, I would be offended because that means he really lied back in May. He's gone. People need to let it go. I'm actually happy for the Azzurri because they needed someone like Conte. If his heart and mind were completely dedicated to coaching Juve in 2014-15, then he shouldn't be coaching anyways.

The problem is I don't care about the corrupt national team now. .. Only juve. The Italian federation is really corrupt

Good points you mentioned there, although Italian national team is not as complete and as talented as what it used to be (mainly due to lack of stars in Serie A) so he may face the same problem of lacking the players he needs for his style of play. on the other hand he knows serie A like the back of his hand and in my humble opinion he is the best national team could get. as I mentioned before it is going to be interesting to see what's gonna happen in reality!

I'm well over it. I felt really bad the day he left mainly because of the time of his departure, 2 days before preseason, since we all know a bad preseason means a year of dreadful games. but the management reacted nicely and conte is just a good memory now. I could get really upset only if he would become inter's coach.
now I'm excited to see what's he gonna do to national team.
in overall, I prefer a motivated allegri to a washed up conte any day.

by that he meant going to ANOTHER top Eu club, he wasn't retired so he was supposed to go to another top club. don't make a big deal out of it. no need to remind what he did for this club, he will always have my respect.

Conte: Juve split natural
Antonio Conte has explained that his exit from Juventus earlier this summer was the natural conclusion on their three-year relationship together.
The 45-year-old agreed to split with the Bianconeri just two days into pre-season this summer, to end three years of success together.
Now back in work with the Italian national team, his presentation as CT inevitably saw discussion turn to how things ended with the Old Lady.
“Everything has been written. I can only say that after three years I had come to the end of a relationship,” Conte reflected to reporters.
“In the past 35 days I have read very little, whilst there have been many assumptions about my exit from Juventus.
“Now I can say that after three years of a journey that was beautiful, intense and successful, we had come to a natural conclusion.
“We tried for another month or two, but both myself and the club realised that it was impossible to go forward.”
On Juventus still, Conte was asked how many Scudetti the club have won and for comment on his ban served whilst with the club for alleged involvement in the 2011-12 Calcioscommesse scandal.
“After my sentence for the betting, I repeat that for me it was an unfair punishment, I paid for it with pain and I think that the Federation made a mistake.
“But, it also helped me to grow, on a human level. Being here is the best answer.
“How many Scudetti have Juve won? I remember with great joy the eight that I have won, five as a player and three as a Coach.”

I think that's a little too much. He gave us three titles. Take them and be happy. Move on. The more you obsess about it the more mad you'll get.
Like I said before, I'm excited for the national team. You can say there corruption in the FIGC, but I don't care. It's about the players on the pitch and the team, not some guys in suits.
Let it go.

@Salmano, Relax man. He left, get over it, let's hope Allegri does even better or around the same as what Conte did. I'm still gonna support him as he's coaching my favourite National team. Who knows, maybe if we had made better signings he would've stayed. But it's done, let's hope he returns to coaching us one day (if he is still good that is). Plus, why are you angry at someone who was a huge part of a record breaking Juventus side, just because he decided too leave. It's not like he was supposed to stay forever, yes leaving 2 days into preseason was bad but maybe there's more reasons as to why he left that we don't know about it. Coaching a club is more tiring and stressful than coaching a National Team.
