The Bianconeri returned to the training pitches at Juventus Center today with the first home match of the season at Juventus Stadium against Udinese on 13 September on their minds.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men, suitably refreshed from their two days of rest after Saturday’s victory against Chievo, took part in a session of running drills and tactics.

Even though the squad was depleted by the absences of those players currently on international duty, the additions to the group of fully fit duo Alvaro Morata and Andrea Barzagli was a welcome sight for the Tuscan manager who will no doubt be delighted to have them back at his disposal.

In other news, Martin Caceres will now join up with the Uruguayan national team for their friendly against Japan in Sapporo on Friday after the birth of his second child, a son named Leon, yesterday afternoon.

Paul Pogba is convinced new Juventus teammate Kingsley Coman can have a season to remember in Turin.

Frenchman Coman, 18, was netted on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain after his contract expired. He made an impressive debut in the 1-0 win at Chievo in Week 1.

“Coman is a fantastic player,” Pogba, signed in similar circumstances from Manchester United, told Gazzetta TV.

“He has the potential to do a lot of positive things at Juventus and I hope that happens,” the midfielder continued.

“The current Juventus squad is a beautiful one and we can do great things together in the campaign ahead.”

Pogba was in action last night as France beat Spain 1-0.

“It was an important match for us,” he continued. “We haven’t beaten them for eight years. We all played well.”

NO RISK

In the main rule and Juventus' run no risks for the match against Udinese. The Friulian are a tough opponent and sell life dearly but Massimiliano Allegri, despite the high-stakes do not want to risk anyone. Who will take the field will be only and only those who are 'at 100%. On this line, Carlitos Tevez will play only if he'll be fine and the news from Turin see him in recovery. The need for home and Juventus' players keep in shape and not lose a long time. In attack the coach from Livorno propose Llorente and one of Coman and Giovinco with Tevez will be evaluated today. In defense, forced choices with Ogbonna, Caceres and Bonucci. Finally midfield with Pereyra ready to take over from Vidal.

The Bianconeri continued to work towards their first home game of the 2014/15 campaign during this afternoon’s training session at a sunny Juventus Center.

Following a tactical meeting focusing on Andrea Stramacconi’s new-look Udinese, Massimiliano Allegri led his men outside to enact the specific moves designed to find a way past the visitors on Saturday night.

Carlos Tevez underwent tests which ruled out any serious muscular damage before conducting an individual workout.

Before taking the team’s final training session tomorrow afternoon, Allegri will discuss the upcoming fixture when he meets the media in Vinovo from 13.00 CET onwards.

Allegri: Injuries not that bad

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has cooled the furore over the injury situation in Turin.

A number of the Old Lady squad have been sidelined in recent weeks, with Arturo Vidal the latest casualty.

“Too much has been made of the injuries,” Allegri stated on Friday. “You all now that there are two or three players who have had problems for a few months.

“People like Andrea Barzagli and Arturo Vidal, whereas Giorgio Chielllini was suspended and he’s now training again.

“Barzagli could be on the bench tomorrow, Alvaro Morata will return, while Andrea Pirlo is on the road to recovery. And Carlos Tevez has no injury.

“I’ll talk to Carlos. He is fine and he wants to play, but I want to evaluate any risks as we have to start the Champions League campaign well too.

“Morata is available, but he hasn’t got 90 minutes in his legs. He’s in decent shape, but we expect a lot from him. As well as having speed, he has great quality.

“I have faith in the players at my disposal. The season is long and everyone will have to make a contribution.”

Following the Week 1 win at Chievo, Allegri will be looking for maximum points when Udinese visit on Saturday.

“Udinese are a difficult side to face. They are well built and Andrea Stramaccioni has inherited a good team from Francesco Guidolin.

“It will be a special game for me as it will be my first as Juventus boss at the Juventus Stadium. We’ll need the support of the fans.”

Allegri opted to stick with the 3-5-2 formation of his predecessor Antonio Conte in Verona and he will do again – even if confirming that Patrice Evra will play.

“Let’s be clear, it is not as if Juventus belong to one Coach if they play with a four at the back and another if they field three.

“Ripping up a system that has worked makes no sense. Also, if Barzagli and Chiellini are missing then a four-man defence is no good.

Evra was an important signing and he’ll certainly play tomorrow. He can play in a four-man defence or a five-man midfield. He just has to get used to Italian football.”

Allegri was also questioned on Juventus’ title rivals this term.

“Roma have done some excellent things on the transfer market, Milan too.

“It will be a balanced championship and harder than last term. It will be decided in the last few weeks. Napoli are to be feared as well.”
=====
As said earlier, maybe tevez has some fatigue, so its better if he rests for the game tomorrow.

Allegri: 'Special night in Turin'

Max Allegri had a “special night” at the Juventus Stadium in their 2-0 victory over Udinese.

The Bianconeri are joint top of the table after beating Chievo 1-0 and this evening Udinese 2-0 in Turin.

The last time this Coach started a season with a 100 per cent record after two rounds was with Sassuolo in 2007-08.

“I am absolutely not surprised we’ve started the season so well,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.

“This squad has physical and technical qualities which mean we can do a lot better. We must improve on how to control the tempo, as we cannot always go at 100mph or at 10mph. Playing every three days we have to learn more control to avoid wasting energy.”

Carlos Tevez broke the deadlock after eight minutes and Claudio Marchisio finished Udinese off, but only after Igor Bubnjic had a goal disallowed for a marginal offside call.

“The team started very well and we knew Udinese would become more dangerous on the counter as time wore on, so had to break the deadlock early.

“The lads defended well and once we took the lead we were at times patient, at others a bit too hasty. I wanted more than one goal and we suffered in the second half, unable to get the measure of Udinese after their tactical switch, but in the end it was a good performance.”

This was Allegri’s debut as a home tactician in the Juventus Stadium.

“It was a special night for me as Juventus Coach in this wonderful stadium. I was curious to see how the night would go, above all that we’d be able to win!

“The crowd is an added weapon for the team and they stepped up when there were moments of difficulty.

“We had this 10-minute spell when Udinese had us under pressure and we’ve got to emerge from those situations better. We also gave the ball away in avoidable ways.

“I am very happy tonight as when the strikers work this hard to help the midfield and defence win back the ball, it is better for the whole team.

“Alvaro Morata came on and showed he has great technique. It’s important that we have young players who represent the future of this side.”

Roberto Pereyra also impressed against his former teammates and showed his versatility.

“He did better than I expected in a trequartista position tonight. At Udinese last season he’d often throw himself into space, but for the way Juventus play he’s better on the inside of midfield.”

The number 22 Juventus could take the place of one of Evra or Pereyra. Allegri could leave the outside of the French on the left wing and centralize Asamoah, or the Ghanaian could act as internal instead of the Argentinian. This doubt Allegri will probably just melt tomorrow. Rounding out the midfield there will Lichtsteiner, Pogba and Marchisio. In attack, there is no doubt and will play Llorente and Tevez.

Post by salmano9 Mon Sep 15, 2014 3:52 pm

Max Allegri says Juventus must keep focus on Malmo as ‘there are no easy games in Europe’, and again dismisses importance on the formation.

The Bianconeri start their Champions League campaign for the 2014-15 season at home to the Swedish side very much favourites to win, but with their Coach cautious, particularly in facing a Pressroom asking today about the quarter-finals as an objective.

“I believe that Juventus currently have the objective closest to them, which is to win this game, which will certainly not be easy,” Allegri has responded to reporters this afternoon.

“In Europe there are no easy games, all the teams play to get a result, because it is a very short competition, where you are not permitted to manage the outcome, where you can only try to win games.

“We have a group that is apparently simple, but even last year that was the case and Juventus were eliminated. This demonstrates that in Europe the group defined as easy isn’t always.

“Malmo are a team that are definitely ahead of us in terms of condition, because their championship is further ahead.

“They are a well organised team, who have physicality and speed as strengths, so we need to play a very careful game with great technique, with great speed and always having good defensive security.

“Tevez? He is fine, he had a good game [against Udinese], so tomorrow he will be available.”

Malmo are debuting at this stage of the Champions League, in UEFA’s initiative to ensure more Leagues are represented in the tournament proper.

“It’s important that there are teams here who have won their respective league titles and UEFA are correct.
“Everyone has the right to participate in the Champions League.”

The 47-year-old was asked if there would be a balancing act between Serie A and Europe.

“In football nothing is prohibitive although in Europe it is very difficult. Saturday the new signings have also done well and this will allow me to better manage energy in the season.

“We have to sustain every match at the same level regardless of the players used.”

Juve’s start to the season has been strong, and Allegri was asked if this was expected progress or ahead of schedule.

“I have found a group conscious to the fact that for after three years of consecutive wins it would be difficult to confirm again.

“The team has made themselves available and today we are playing pretty well, although there is room for improvement. If we improve as individuals, we will improve as a team.

“3-5-2 formation tomorrow? In the end, the system of play, whatever it is, is the interpretation that the Coach gives to it. Ours is a team that can improve and this does not depend on the formation.

“Tomorrow I will decide based on the condition of the players available.”

Allegri was asked his opinion on why this Juventus hasn’t yet impressed in the Champions League.

“From the outside, in the past year the group has been good, but they have paid for episodes. This is a great club, a great team, that should aim to be equal with the biggest in Europe, reaching the last eight.

“It will not be easy, we start from tomorrow, realising that the approach to Europe is different to that in Serie A.
“What are the differences? The games are different because the teams that you face always play to win. There is less tactics and more speed and you have to be good at reading the game.

“Am I more an Italian or European Coach? I would say Italian because in Europe I have not yet won anything. I still have to do a lot better with my team.”

Now I'm nervous because Roma is winning 4-0 in the UCL vs CSKA Moscow, and we beat Malmo 2-0. Could this be because we aren't playing 4 at the back, or is it because maybe CSKA attacked Roma while Malmo only had two st if not one and the rest parked the bus? Maybe fast wingers are really important, hopefully Coman proves to be a great signing for now and later too.

As far as I know we and roma have a different style of play, but man there's no need to worry, cuz the most important thing is that we are winning with this formation with allegri, and when all of our players get back, im sure that allegri will make few changes unlike "stubboronte" as you guys used to call him lol...
