Melo: We can beat Juventus
Felipe Melo is confident Galatasaray have what is needed to shatter Juventus’ Champions League dream.
The two meet in Istanbul on Tuesday with the home side needing a win and the Italians just a point to reach the last 16.
“When the draw happened, many people said Real Madrid and Juventus would qualify,” the former Juventus player told UEFA.com.
“But we, with our feet on the ground, have done our work.
“It is in our hands to qualify. So we will go out and look to get it done, showing respect for our opponents who are strong, but also knowing that we can achieve it.”
The Turkish giants, who drew 2-2 in Turin, reached the last eight of the competition last term and the Brazilian fancies their chances of a repeat.
“Last season we had a great campaign, with a lot of respect and a lot of confidence. We will try to repeat that and try to improve and go further.”
