Who are the World Cup "dark horses"?
Spain, Germany, Italy, Argentina, and Brazil are not.
Aside from the 5 mentioned, which NT would you predict to make a surprise semi final appearance?

I would "expect" Colombia to get out of the group stages.

Colombia will have a tough team to face in the first round, but their group is pretty easy.

Re: Who are the World Cup "dark horses"?
I will get laughed at for saying this but:
England - if Woy decides to play with the up and coming players instead of the old guards. Oddly enough Engerlands weakest link this time around is their CM imo.
Another choice (I bet a popular one too) would be Belgium.

Switzerland for me. They will top their group and get a very easy draw in the first round and make it to the quarters. I think anything can happen in the quarters.

On the other hand if they don't top their group (which is possible) they're in trouble lolrwo power wrote:That.McAgger wrote:Switzerland for me. They will top their group and get a very easy draw in the first round and make it to the quarters. I think anything can happen in the quarters.

Goatmar Hitzfeld will shit on Deschamps with his tactics. France won't know what hit them.

No, not they're not. They're a good side, and have 6 months to work on their new coach's tactics, but in order to be a dark horse you need to have a fighting chance and Chile do not.futbol wrote:Chile!

Re: Who are the World Cup "dark horses"?
Nigeria, likely going to finish 2nd in group, will get one of France or Switzerland. win that and they are in the quarters where it could be Germany.
Other than that, the Dutch, Swiss, Belgians or Ghana.

Re: Who are the World Cup "dark horses"?
Netherlands and Belgium but if I have to choose one I'd go with the Netherlands.
The team is far from perfect and it's possible they will have to go home after three games but still. I have more faith in Robben and van Persie than in Hazard or Ronaldo.

Netherlands will probably face Brazil in the first knockouts, if they beat them they deserve to win
