Re: Champions League: Match-day 6
Hamsik will miss the Arsenal game due to injury. That's half the game right there.

Not particularly surprised by their premature exit.
Conte - the premature ejaculation from Europe coach
I dont get the drogba hype - won one header and had a shot on goal. Otherwise didint do shit.
lolwut he was the best player on the pitch. Bullied Juve defenders left, right and centre. He still got it. It's a shame he left for China and then Gala. He would be a starter in a lot of top clubs. Absolute legend, hoping he gives a good showing at the World Cup.

Drogba just owned the Juve CBs on the hoofs. That decided the game and a lot of luck.
They drew 2-2 in Italy though, today's game wasn't the only result that knocked Juve out.

Well, if more Italian clubs do well in Europe then more good players want to come to Italy. And to Milan.
If Milan do well at Europe then good players will come to Milan. If Juve do well, good players will come to Juve. That's the way it works. Only one club matters. Have star players flocked to Bayer 05 Leverkusen and Schalke 04 because of the all German final? No, they went to Bayern and Dortmund.

I would really like Arsenal to face Madrid, in 1/16 or later. Özil giving his best performance in Arsenal's shirt and kicking Madrid outRealGunner wrote:cyberman wrote:i can see napoli getting close and giving arsenal a sweat..

We will win.
Coming 2nd to only face Bayern, Madrid, Barca is pointless.

You would get physically harmed if you said that in front of Roma fans in Rome. wtf is wrong with you?

Hapless_Hans wrote:halamadrid2 wrote:neuro11 wrote:terrible pitch for a decisive game to play.....
but i doubt they deserved to go through with one win only....in round league...
the only team it was a disadvantage for was Galatasaray because they actually needed to win. And they did
And what's more, the pitch in front of Gala's goal was MUCH better. So you can stop the pitch excuse right now.
This is true but Gala's defenders, especially their fullback Riera had a lot of touches and a lot of those touches were in the worst part of the pitch.
The pitch in front of Muslera was decent as well but Juve barely got to Gala's goal.
This game was a lottery that any team could have won, what Juve should be angry about is dropping points against Kopenhagen and Gala in the earlier rounds. In hindsight them getting a point against Madrid was a gift from heaven.

Milan is not going to make the CL next year anyway, so only the world's finest free transfers will be coming guys.

You just dont get it. Its the league strenght that matters. There is no point in a league that only has two good teams. Good players want to play in a competitive league, thats one of the reason many of them end up in EPL.

I don't understand why Juve didn't continue with the formation they used vs us. They controlled large parts of both games with that formation and kicked the ball around very well.
So so annoying to have a stubborn coach trust me I have seen it before

Yes, if Napoli win the CL, then Gotze, Ibra and Aguero will all want to come and play for Liverno and Catania, thus strengthening the league and making it more competitiveflameas wrote:M99 wrote:flameas wrote:

Re: Champions League: Match-day 6
Just watched the highlights. My thoughts
1) Terrible defending by Bonnuci for the goal. That goal was completely preventable. There was no support for Sneijder. Cheillini and Barzagli had everything covered and it just needed a good tackle but Bonnuci was trying some weird shit with his legs wide opened
2) I can understand why he had to play but did Marchisio do anything at all? The only time i saw him was when he was getting a yellow. Why did he play nearly full 90 minutes?
Pogba was very good for Juve.
For Gala, Drogba was as good as I heard. Sniejder played probably his best game in a Gala shirt. Melo stopped every time Vidal or Tevez tried to do anything.
Basically wrong tactics and approach by Conte. Pitch was a disaster. Probably worse than last night even.

-.-
Im not talking about stars - if the league is attractive then young players will chose it, also lot of medium-good players. Football is not only about big stars.. obviously in england it is.. and about money as well..

That was a big mistake from Gibbs..he couldnt even cover the second post. Terrible positioning. Koscienly screamed at him for a reason.
