VivaStPauli wrote:Well sorry for being annoying, but Bayern visibly ran less than they usually do, and didn't engage into proper 1on1s after the 30 minute mark, they were obviously just trying not to get any player injured, and thought they'd win anyway. After City turned the match around, it was pretty much too late and they lacked the motivation to throw themselves into a needless battler in a war they'd already won.
It's not like City played great, they got that one lucky shot from Milner and the bullshit penalty, and the Milner goal even directly followed a foul the ref didn't see, so... Meh. It was mostly just frustrating to watch. Especially the stupid Bayern horizontal passing, looked like Titos Barca there for a few minutes...
sshhhh, my friend!
Don't defend it! We're not that great, no need for others to overestimate us!
Man City can now call themselves "treble winner winner", in the vein of "Weltpokalsiegerbesieger"

:lol:Pep and Bayern didn't care that they could've ended 2nd in their group if City scored only one more goal :lol:Its Simple, City were so they won #dealwithit also, without Aguero and Yaya!HEIL MEIN REDS wrote:cant believe people are taking yday's Bayern game seriously
btw, both of Bayern goals shouldn't have been allowed for an offside on Muller and Gotze!

The way Bayern are acting, they'll get eliminated early this season! I really hope they face Atletico or Barca with a fit Messi in the QF!

Lex, they got arrogant and they payed for it. They took their foot of the pedal. Look at the goals they conceded ffs. On that last one Boateng made Jonny Evans look like Baresi ffs. Milner dive for 2nd and that cross Boateng decided to do a flick in his own box. They needed that. They were becoming too arrogant. Happened last year with Basel, then they got cocky, Arsenal came and showed them what happens when you act like you rule the world...
Khaled seriously stfu. Are you made Pep took away his football from Catalunya? It must pain you that Bayern are playing more like Peps Barca than you.

Re: Champions League: Match-day 6
Indeed. I just saw Manuel Neuer's interview from after the match and he was visibly not amused that he had to pick three balls out of his net as he didn't consider the goals his fault.Winter is Coming wrote:Dante and Boateng made a lot of clumsy decision and didn't all three goals go in pretty much from their mistakes?

@jibers :-)
its still the beginning of the season. All the hype around Bayern will hurt them so much at the end of the season. I really hope they face Barcelona in the knockout stages, just want a fit Messi and their defense is going suffer.... just wait and see...
Mad? I don't hate Pep. in fact its great that big clubs are trying to play the Barcelona way :-)

It's the Pep way, not Barcelona way. Did Barcelona play like that under Rijaard? Didn't think so. Did Barcelona play like that after Pep left, didn't think so either, but carry on in your delusion
Bayern would still beat you. Fit Messi or not. Especially with the hoofball you are attempting. Robben will take apart alba again.

No one is disputing that Bayern is a great team. It's the silly excuses whenever they lose. They are not unbeatable.Hapless_Hans wrote:VivaStPauli wrote:Well sorry for being annoying, but Bayern visibly ran less than they usually do, and didn't engage into proper 1on1s after the 30 minute mark, they were obviously just trying not to get any player injured, and thought they'd win anyway. I disagree jibers. We're not as good as people think. In fact all the countless wins this year were more or less outliers, while yesterday we showed our true colors, and our choker mentality.
Think of it, a guy that couldn't get games at Barca over many years and was an overrated bench warmer just walks into our midfield?!

He didn't get games because of Barcelonas daft management. The same manageent that led to their whole squad being physically frail atm and the same mismanagement that caused Messi to get injured 4 times in the last year.

There's always an excuse when Buyern lose, so I'm not surprised Buyern fanboys are showing the "complacency" card again.

Complacency is the first signs of tiredness. Which is pretty expected from the fact that nobody can possibly keep that kind of tempo in every game, unless they are on drugs. They probably will only get more tired and complacent at the end of the season, which is good news for the rest.

They are getting more arrogant, more than they were before.
But my point is exactly that they're losing games like yesterday because of their arrogance.

Why would a Barca fan want his team to play this Bayern ?

Barça can beat this Bayern, so it's not an outrageous thing to say really. Who knows Bayern might just get "complacent"

Is anyone watching Gala-Juve? The pitch is horrendous. Neither team can string 3 passes together because the ball keeps getting stuck in the mud.
