Atletico aren't good enough for Mata imo. De Bruyne is the type of player Atletico could get.

They are, based on the table, however they're not really an established elite club yet. Looking back at recent years, it wouldn't be too surprising if Atletico finished third.

I can see City buying him. Pelle has always played with inverted wingers which is why I was surprised when they bought Navas as that's opposite of Pellegrini's method of playing. Mata woul fit in perfectly in that team. Won't be long until Pelle has finished laliga-tised that team lmao

Atleti don't seem to have the money for a straight buy, but the thing about it is, Chelsea has to get rid of a couple people and I'm not sure they want to sell. They're so packed in midfield, I think only a star like Mata could legitimately help them.

If they manage to get him, which I think they won't, I'd be a bit worried.

from what people say its a loan, why would people label Atletico as unable to capture Mata on a loan especially when Chelsea and Atletico already have a relation with Courtois

He definitely needs to leave Chelsea though. He gains absolutely nothing warming the bench in his prime. I think Ancelotti & Perez will be interested. Imagine Mata feeding CR and Bale wow.

To actually let him raise his own value, to not let him rot in the bench the whole year, to let him get gain time for the world cup

Steering this away from a Madrid Vs Madrid debate, i'll say i'd love to have Mata on loan, although not sure where we'd use him. Going to a 2 man midfield is not an option for us atm so it'd be a 4-3-1-2 (Not a fan at all) or some 4-3-2-1 Christmas tree. Which could be ok I guess.
