Is Januzaj the best at the moment ? Bakkali ? Halilovic ?

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
Rabiot (PSG), Zouma (St Etienne), Martial (Monaco) and Laporte (Bilbao) for France all at 19 or less. Varane, Pogba, Thuavin, Digne and Kondogbia are only 20 too. If Benzia (Lyon) can get his head screwed on right, he's there too at 19...

Max Meyer (18), Leon Goretzka (18), Maximilian Arnold (19) and Timo Werner (17) come to mind in the Bundesliga, too.

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
I know he's too young right now , but.. Milan's Hachim Mastour is definitely one to look out for . The lad has immense talent , i am not sure to what it will translate in the future , but he's a very interesting prospect . Not only he doesn't look his age on the field , but he has so much fantasy in his game and athleticaly speaking he's impressive.
His ball control is simply amazing as well. I think he should definitely be in this thread , even if he's the youngest of them all.

Which reminds me - another gifted young midfielder, who has yet to make the step to the seniors, but who already showed quite some promise, is Levin Öztunali (17). (The boy prolly got it in the genes - he is the grandson of Germany legend Uwe Seeler).

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
Gerard Deulofeu is one of the best U-19 talents for sure. Other mentions: Sergi Samper, Toni Sanabria, Alex Collado and Adama Traore.

Nathaniel Chalobah and Nathaniel Ake for Chelsea.
Also LOL at Deulofeu being the best under-19, he's been crap for Everton.

18 year-old American born Julian Green Just debuted for bayern munich.
Does anyone here rate him?
Also what are the chances he chooses to play for america over germany (Born in America to an american father and German mother). Could he be the star player American football has been lacking?

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
He has been playing for Germany U19 atm after . Looks like he might choose Germany over USA.
Welcome btwGreen was called up to the United States senior team by head coach Jürgen Klinsmann for friendlies in November 2013, but he declined the call, instead deciding to join the German U19 team for a friendly against France.

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
Well, if Julian Green can play the striker position properly (AFAIK he is more of a an LW atm), he really might consider the German NT as that area doesn't have as much competition as certain others.
(BTW, he played for Germany U16 and U17, then one match for USofA U18 and most recently for Germany U19 again.)

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
He said in a kicker interview that he explicitly refused to play for the USA team as of now, because he's waiting for the DFB to call, he might give in if he doesn't get the call by the time he's like 19, but he did sound like he might be willing to sit out the next WC for the chance to get a Germany call up yet, and we'll probably cap him just in case if he delivers a few good performances in the first team for Bayern.rwo power wrote:Well, if Julian Green can play the striker position properly (AFAIK he is more of a an LW atm), he really might consider the German NT as that area doesn't have as much competition as certain others.

That being said, if I was him, I'd start to play striker now because I wouldn't want to enter the competition for the Germany LW position. That's probably our most stacked position after CAM.

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
I am sick of Americans and Canadians choosing the country of their grandparents over their own countries. At this rate (esp Canada) our football will never really evolve to its full potential.

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
TBH before I googled him just now I assumed he was born somewhere in Bavaria to his German mother, much like Aaron Hunt or Lewis Holtby, didn't even know he was born in the States - makes sense, though, much easier to hold dual citizenship this way around.

He hasn't even played 2 full games, LOL. He has not been crap at all.Kick wrote:Nathaniel Chalobah and Nathaniel Ake for Chelsea.

Wait for him to become a starter ant tear the PL apart.
Also, I forgot to mention a player that is truly the best U-19 player in the world, the problem is he is only 15 right now: Lee Seung Woo.
@Urbanroots: Sanabria is the most promising striker in our youth. A proper killer with a tremendous shot with both legs and the typical Barça passing and ball keeping abilities. Good size and physique. Hope you don't sign him but it seems we won't be able to make him stay.

Re: Best U19 talents in the world
I think free_cat pwned us all with that. Blatter has screwed up this kid's development temporarily though.free_cat wrote:Also, I forgot to mention a player that is truly the best U-19 player in the world, the problem is he is only 15 right now: Lee Seung Woo.
Read this:
Before his enforced departure from Spain, Seung-woo had been christened as “The Korean Messi” and was scoring goals for fun. 38 goals and 18 assists in just 29 games for the U15s certainly show that he has talent. At a similar age Messi notched up 37 goals in 30 appearances on his way to becoming a Barcelona legend.
