Re: Results Comparison
We'll lose it by 2 points. WBA game will be the shortcoming and we'll sell Toure.

Re: Results Comparison
Few days ago I read an article in Liverpool Echo which said we will be second with 82 points and Chelsea to win the League with 86 points. It was based on some research of the past form etc.

Re: Results Comparison
Assuming we can be realistic in this thread, With this squad we should aim for 80+ points and then move strength to strength after the summer window.

Re: Results Comparison
80+ is easily achievable and I personally think we'll get that without too much fuzz. BUT I DO BELIEVE. Every bone in body tells me we'll win at least the next 8 games out of the 9 remaining. It's going to happen fellas.

Re: Results Comparison
I think whoever is going to win the league, will have 86 points in the end
89 seems to be impossible

Re: Results Comparison
At the moment Man City are on course for 93 points. Do you really think they'll drop 7 points? Possibly 8 because of their superior GD at this point.
If we do expect to drop points, winning the title would be possible but it's gonna be tough. The only way to make sure at this point is to win all 9 matches.

Re: Results Comparison
Man City
Home: Six mid-table opposition (six wins).
Away: Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, Crystal Palace
so their away fixtures include big teams including us...I think they will surely drop at least 5 points and considering the unpredictabilty of EPL I will say 6

Re: Results Comparison
So you see 6 points dropped would still get them 87 points, means we have to win all 9 and get 89, unless we somehow overtake their GD.
I know one thing for sure if we lose the title on GD, I will die on the spot. I really don't think my heart, my soul, my existence can take that. It would be the cruelest joke.

Re: Results Comparison
Actually I was also thinking about one draw and possibly 8 wins which will leave us on 87 points too...I think if the title will be decided on GD we will surely win the title...it is just a difference of 3.
I cant see City winning those away matches with big GD...mostly all of them +1 in case they win and their Home GD will depend on if Auguero is fit in all the matches otherwise they struggle to score goals without him.
Looking at our current scoring and defensive form we will overtake them in terms of GD.
It seems too far fetched to discuss like thism fingers crossed

That means United or Everton, depending who comes 6th and if arsenal don't win the FA cup, are only in Europe because of us

Really? Nobody has the balls? FFS Sepi is right, reverse-jinx legacy is boring and predictable.
WE. ARE. GOING. TO. WIN. EVERY. SINGLE. GAME. LEFT.
We will not drop a point the rest of the way. 9 cup finals to go, 9 trophies to lift.

Re: Results Comparison
We now have 14 points after 12 games. That includes 2 more defeats than victories.
We are 18 points behind 1st place, but only 6 points away from the bottom.

Re: Results Comparison
Only 5 points out of a CL spot which is not so bad, but things need to change before the gap becomes too big.

Do we, wait, let me rephrase; HAVE WE looked like getting into the CL positions in last 10 or so games. Please note we are also FOUR freaking points from drop-zone.El Cujo wrote:Only 5 points out of a CL spot which is not so bad, but things need to change before the gap becomes too big.

Re: Results Comparison
It's not only the gap to fourth, it's also the teams in between us and fourth spot. They will be getting points, too, some more, some less. Being 5th and five points off 4th would be quite OK, but being 12th and five points off 4th is just a bad situation through and through.
