Re: Steven Gerrard
Gerrard is a winner.
He's of course pissed that Rodgers subbed him off with 10 minutes to go in a MUST-WIN game just so that he can get a "acclaim from Chelsea fans" , the fans that Gerrard hates the most.
Must-win game, even game, 10 minutes to go...you take off your top scorer, dead ball specialist, and our most likely goal threat, for an awful sentimental reason like that ? No wonder he ignored Rodgers' high five and at the end of the match was giving him the angry eye when BR and Mourinho were chatting.
Gerrard cares about winning. I am not sure we can say the same thing about the man in the dug-out.

Re: Steven Gerrard
Rodgers is a loser Sep. A peasant. He threw out the towel before the Bernabeu match before it even began. Don't need people like that in charge of our club.

Aren't we the optimist to go after BR's a***
He's said similar things about Roy Hodgson.
And whatever you want to do with Rodgers a*** is between you and the man himself.

Re: Steven Gerrard
It's going to feel so weird next season without him. Kinda feels already, but will be even weirder when he actually is gone. I don't think I've ever watched a full MLS game, but I know that's going to change now, need to see Stevie still.

Gerrard on the loan return possibility: "The only way I'd ever come back would be an emergency situation, but I hope I'm not needed come the winter."
I think it's better this way, too.

Re: Steven Gerrard
Best player ever to never win a league title and also one of the greatest leaders and captains to ever step on a football field. Truly one of kind and part of the dying breed of loyal players.
I feel lucky to have watched him in his prime . One of the best midfielders I've ever seen.

I wish he had just retired. It's painful to see him leaving to play in another shirt.

Re: Steven Gerrard
Gerrard's book wrote:"I can pick up the phone and speak to all of my previous Liverpool managers, except for Rafa," said Gerrard.
"It's a shame because we shared the biggest night of our careers - the 2005 Champions League victory in Istanbul - yet there is no bond between us."
"On a basic human level I prefer a likeable manager, such as Gerard Houllier or Brendan Rodgers, but in terms of football I really don't mind working with a colder man," added Gerrard, who joined LA Galaxy this summer.
"An emotionless and distant relationship with the likes of Rafa Benitez and Fabio Capello can sometimes produce more success."
Anyone else find this weird? Rafa was our manager for SIX years and doesn't seem like a cold or distant person. And Gerrard was our captain and the most important player at the club. And Rafa fell in love with Liverpool. Considering all that, I find it weird that he would have been distant towards Gerrard.

Re: Steven Gerrard
Benitez treated everybody the same / equal. Gerrard and Carragher didn't like that. It's all it comes down too.

I can understand because that era was kind of dominated by Spanish speaking players in the dressing room !

Re: Steven Gerrard
I'm going to make a big call like i give a *bleep*, but in 10 years when the Gerrard wank feast has finished and we evaluate who our greatest ever player was it won't be the same. And i've always thought that, when he wins all the votes half the *bleep* voting don't even know the people who built the club made it famous, they just remember 05.

Re: Steven Gerrard
Its finally done. Its official.
Steven Gerrard has retired.
As a child, I started following football for this man, I am not ashamed to say this. Hell, I even started playing football after watching him. I still play CM even though i suck under pressure #selfhumliation4gerrard
We had barely begun adjusting to life without him and he's gone and done this, whenever i see FKs or shots from 30 yards, I usually say "Bro Imagine Gerrard took that", "Imagine Gerrard in that position", "Imagine if Gerrard was president".
As a grown man, I watched you cry inconsolably in front of millions of strangers. You showed me what passion truly means and how even the greatest of men must confront their flaws and regret.
Anyways linking a video of me filming the man entering the field live on 1/1/2014 at Anfield against Hull. I've been blessed to see him play live after all those years (Started following Liverpool in 04) of following him, It was a duckton of dream come true for me to watch him play plus LFC plus new years plus satisfaction for life.
Its an unlisted YT video, uploaded just for my LFC family. Ill take my tears elsewhere now.
