UEFA Youth League

We might as well have a separate thread. First year of official competition and I think this time we have a chance of winning it. Barça is playing Celtic right now and you can watch it live on Barça's oficial youtube channel:

Winning 0-1 right now. First game we won Ajax 4-1.

I didn't know of this competition.

Is this a youth team version of the current CL format? With same teams grouped depending of the draw from the senior squads?

Yes, exactly.

Game ended, 1-2 for us, both goals from Sanabria. Second goal was a great long range free kick.

The youth teams based on the first teams performances. Probably this year already some very good youth teams miss out because their senior team isnt in the CL, meanwhile worse youth teams are involved.

For example, I would imagine (just picking at random) Celtic's youth team is not as good as West Ham.

Anyway, when I get the chance I will tune in for sure.

Maybe but it's difficult to pick the teams any other way, as for instance in Spain there isn't a single top division, so who do you pick?

I was watching for about 10 minutes, it was 3-2 to us, looked like a tough game, must of really turned it on after I had to stop watching.

Barça U-19 will face Copenhagen at 1/8 of the Youth League. It's a one game only round played at el Mini estadi. Munir el Haddadi is the tournament's top scorer and top assister right now.

Today it's Uefa youth league final at 16:30. It will broadcasted for Esport 3 and Eurosport, so I guess there'll be streamings on rojadirecta.
We can win the first edition of the trophy, which would be very nice.  
We really have a team to win it with the most talented striker of his Barça generation (Sandro, Dongou and Munir have the same age, but Munir is the best IMO) and a player that is way above his current age peers like Adama Traore, a dominating midfield with Kaptoum and Enguene, and a solid defence. Also, the GK Suarez is a crack, a great, great GK and much better than Ondoa IMO.

13 minute in 1-0 Barcelona against Benfica in the final, Tarin goal. Benfica missed a PK.

Godswill with a great recovery challenge, I been really impressed with him every time I seen him. Not an obvious special talent but I feel like I sense something about him.

Well, he is a good defender with a gifted physique. Which is not usual to find in our youth rank.

Dont watch this comp and the youth teams, but obviously great news to good Barca has great young players and future as we know That last goal from the half way line was yummy

Just saw the highlights of this player Munir for thew tournament, so im wondering him and the other star players in our Barca B now who played this comp, they likely to progress into our A team any time soon?
