Predictable Bale flopping hard yesterday did not even surprise me. Flop or hatrick, I don't even know why this was even a debate as Bale isn't anywhere near the player Hazard is.

You just have to observe to see the difference.

Hazard is clearly better. Bale is limited when he can't outpace his marker. The former simply has more facets to his game, same with Neymar.

Wrong. Hazards best ever season was last season when he had 18 goals. Bale has 12 goals now!

Btw, bale had 17 goals the whole of last season and had 22 goals in his best ever season for real madrid 2 years ago. While his best season in his career has been 26 goals for tottenham in all competitions 3 years ago.

Hazard was magnificent last year... he's just miserable at Chelsea this season. Bale is having a great year after being a complete scrub the last two.

Who's better? Hazard is just far more technically gifted. So i believe in the long run, he will be proven better.

I feel like the biggest myth in football is that being a better dribbler (into nowhere) means you are more technically gifted.

What about passing? Heading? Shooting? Crossing? Tackling? Protecting the ball? There's so much more to technique than just dribbling which again is one of those silly things that needs to be put into context to properly measure anyway.

I would take Bale.

While I love the back and forth in this thread, it should be a comparison of Bale vs Neymar. That's what Bale was purchased for, an alternative to us missing out on Neymar. If Hazard ever does come to Madrid it will be as opposed to Ronaldo.

So let's look at those comparisons. Bale vs Neymar and Hazard vs Ronaldo.

Bale vs Neymar is a simple comparison and it's Neymar by a landslide. Bale has been shit for 2 years and this year has improved but is no where close to Neymar's level.

Ronaldo vs Hazard is a more difficult comparison. It's comparing a goal scorer with a playmaker. Comparing a selfish ego driven non team player with a potential star. Probably Ronaldo wins this on his proven track record but I would take Hazard over him hands down.

But at end of day, I still say MSN is miles better than BBC and likely even a BBH.

yeah right you know damn well post barca any young players that resembles iniesta or messi, etc, in technique gets super hyped, but as usual not expose oneself who is guilty of it with isco for example, can do nothing in particular in a match does couple skills, still get motm, tell me im lying.

Not sure I'd say Neymar is > Bale by a landslide.

Bale was better than Neymar in year 1 and was decisive in winning multiple trophies for Real Madrid. Second year was Neymar by a landslide, yeah, but this season and especially since returning from injury Bale has been in top form. Neymar has still been better this season but currently Bale is right up there not far behind.

Of course put Bale with Messi/Suarez and Neymar with Ronaldo and see if things are a little different as well.

post zidanr, any young AM was compared to him. Post ronaldinho any young brazilian was called new roni, post thuram/desailly any new black french CBs were compared to them. You are stating facts that have perpetuated since the beginning of times in any sports lol. Young players get compared to illustrous veterans of they display something in their game that reminds us of those legends. Iniesta is/was a genius dribbler, so isco was naturally compared to him for example. Varane very early displayed a lot of calm and technique, so he was compared to blanc, etc...
