I feel Bale is still better.

The better question is: Is Hazard 2013/14 better than Bale 2012/13? I don't think he is, so we can't even use the age argument I'm afraid.

Bale is 1 year and a half older. I don't think age is an excuse here. They have different qualities. Hazard is way better technically, but physically he is no match to Bale. Neither is tactically.

Considering that Bale hasn't really been that great in big games for Real Madrid this season, I find it quite ironic to call Hazard a big game flop..

Please name me which big games you are referring to. Watch him go for the Barca/Atleti games in the first half of season when he was playing injured

The way the season has look so far, the only really big games that Real Madrid have played this season have been against Barca, Atletico and Juventus. So far, he has only been good in the away game against Juventus.

He only featured in the away Juve game. Didn't play at home

First half of the season he played injured vs both Atleti and Barca. He featured in two Atleti games after Jan and did well in both (both away games incidentally)

He will play vs Barca today and has no excuses this time. Can see him doing very well with Alba not getting much support from Neymar

I bet last season none of you would've wanted to trade Mata for Ozil either??

Understandable because they didn't/haven't exactly do(ne) bad.

I suppose fans of each club are a little bit clouded by bias, but to each their own I guess

Hazard can become a Chelsea great if he manages to steer the Club to trophies like Drogba did. He loses the ball too much now and has very little workrate, he is young though so he could improve

Bale can become a Real great if he helps us win CL and plays great for many seasons, heavy feat but I think he can, he is a hardworker and strives to improve. He become anonymous when the ball doesn't get to him and isn't the best passer under pressure, like Hazard he is also young so can improve

2 seasons from now and I think we will have a better picture

Absolutely.

Still think Ozil and Mata are arguably on the same level, both players have the same weakness and strengths. But i get your point.

The only Chelsea player in discussion is Hazard. His overall game and potential is so much better then Bale.

Mata? Is not a Chelsea player, until either one of them increase their stamina and get better off the ball i don't see the point of trading one for the other. They are both on the same level, Ozil is the flavor right now and Mata was last season.

Shame Mata didn't stick out at Chelsea, he would have been much better player if he continued under Mou training. Yes that would have meant missing out on the 'world cup with spain. His loss.

One of Ozil's strengths is his off the ball movement. No AM has better movement than him IMO. Don't know what you're talking about. Btw, Mata isn't on Ozil's level

It's not really difficult to figure out who is the superior product.

Predictable Bale flopping hard yesterday did not even surprise me. Flop or hatrick, I don't even know why this was even a debate as Bale isn't anywhere near the player Hazard is.

You just have to observe to see the difference.
