Had an assist to his name today.That makes it 12 goals and 5 assists(i think) this season.5 of his goals are penos.

3 goals and 1 assist against Fiorentina...he is only making it harder for us to decide which one of our youth players we should get.

I really hope Sassuolo stays on Serie A for next season,it will be very good for our loaned players progress,they will continue to play at max. level of football in Italy.

. Also, I hope he would play against us next year cuz he got suspended or injured for both games this year.

The dilemma of Berardi continues to be one of the topics at Juventus, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport. They're deciding now whether to stay or move to Sassuolo Torino. According to the rosy, Juve wants him immediately in Turin while Sassuolo want to keep it for another year in Emilia. The dilemma of the young striker neroverde should be resolved within a week.

Something interesting I came across today:

Juventus rejected a €22m Monaco offer for teenage striker Domenico Berardi, who is currently at Sassuolo.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 19-year-old forward was the subject of a spectacular swoop by French side Monaco in June.

The cost of the bid was said to be €22m, but the Bianconeri turned it down.

Berardi remains in a co-ownership deal between Juve and Sassuolo, but have already agreed to sell the remaining 50 per cent to the Turin giants for €14m at the end of the season.

This will allow Berardi to continue playing regularly in Serie A at Sassuolo before making the step up to Juventus.

Are we really have to pay 14 freakin' millions for 50%, to get him back in our team? By this thinking his value would be around 28mil, which is way too much considering we sold Immobile for 19,5.

We can partly blame these co-ownership deals for our failings at the mercatos, always badly overpaying for players :facepalm:

14m is a pretty decent price for his half in today's market when the likes of Iturbe go for 30m odd after an ok-ish season.

If he repeats the season he had last year maybe by being a bit more consistent,i think he would be worth paying that sum in the end.

The team where the player is actually playing needs compensation to have motivation to develop the player. If Sassuolo knows they will be selling their 50% of the player no matter what, they need to be paid well to guarantee playing time for Berardi or else they will just play one of the players they own.

Juve benefits by getting another team to develop their player and giving him playing time he wouldn't be given at Juve. They also benefit by locking in the price now in case Berardi does really well this season and becomes worth more than 30m.

It may seem like a lot of money now, but it's the price you pay to have another team develop your youth.

Its not just that Iturbe had an ok seson, its the tools he has which are very attractive in top football. People love pacy players, and it is very much needed for counter attacking football.

Berardi from what I have seen is not a normal player, should be able to take the step up to at least a second tier club.

Also Rugani who is doing excellent with Empoli got his first call up with the Azzurri. Another must player for next season.

Berardi, Zaza, Rugani and Leali should all return.

Both are very impressive.
Remember that Berardi is only 20 years old, he's playing with the under 21s.
Zaza is really impressing me but I do not want to knee jerk because of a couple international displays and wonder goals.
Lets see if either can put together a consistent, impressive season
