Nick seems to be the only one convinced that Arsenal will pay an inflated fee to buy Khedira from Real Madrid.

£23 is not inflated for Khedira, he would become the second best midfielder at arsenal, with more top level experience than about everyone put together lol

I was referring to a post (in another thread?) about paying 4m in charities, since Kroos would cost Madrid lesser.

For the record, I would like Khedira to join us (at the right price and wage). Contrary to the new found idea in GL that Arsenal are rolling in monies, we aren't. We can realistically sign 1-2 star calibre players per year and we've used half of that load on Sanchez. (Same reason why I can't even begin to comprehend the Cavani links lol).

That sportwitness thing was shared by Sina on the Arsenal section rumours thread to clarify the Sport article rinse-repeating the Cadena Ser stuff.

The last reliable update I read on this was that Arsenal baulked at the wage demand, obviously not wanting to break the wage structure for Khedira when the likes of Özil, Sanchez and Walcott signed contracts recently on lower terms.

There is still the 'We're in Germany for a Midfielder' stuff, which seems reliable, but Wenger and Arsenal are known to be rather adept at smokescreens. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was not a German and/or not a BuLi player.

Gustavo would be a better option for Arsenal imo. Cheaper wages and they need a pure DM instead of a B2B. It means Ramsey can attack more.

He is decent at best when he is in form. Nowhere near a top CB.

He is woeful defensively in Madrid, he can't handle his defensive responsibilities, and his offensive runs are a liability because he isn't skilled enough to take advantage of them. Despite them being fairly good.
