Not really at all, no. Given that there are multiple semi-reliable/reliable sources on Fernando.

Di Marzio wrote:There is a game of musical chairs taking place on Christmas Day. Tim Sherwood maybe just a short term solution for Tottenham. The London based club is in fact interested in hiring current Italy coach Cesare Prandelli for next season. Prandelli has received a few offers in recent days, and is pondering what to do after the World Cup in Brazil. The Azzurri’s playmaker Andrea Pirlo could also join Prandelli at Tottenham. Pirlo’s contract with Juve is set to expire at the end of the season.

Sherwood was always going to be a caretaker first, but the extra year is merit based and allowed us to hold onto him should he actually pull off the job.

Which players ARE we targeting then?

The same people linking us to Fernando Reges is the Metro and the DailyFail. Unless you can provide a reliable source linking him to us, there's nothing I've seen with us genuinley being interested in him.

There's no credible links to Fernando Reges, or any other "DM" in that matter. The only reason we're linked to Fernando "octupus" is because his contract expires in 6 months time. And if you talk to majority of the Porto fans, they're all certain that he's going to be signing a new contract with them (and be sold in the summer so they can receive $) just as we were confident Luis was going to sign a new contract with us.

Again, the only "credible" link going around in regards to Liverpool is we've been linked to is Salah from Basel, and that's pretty much not even that reliable itself, a friend of Salah's pretty much just said Liverpool is interested in him. The only reason it has legs to it's story is because Rodgers went to personally watch a Basel game in which Salah was involved in the game.

There's been no credible links to anyone in regards to Liverpool right now.

Both Tony Barrett and James Pearce have discussed Liverpool's interest in Fernando and potential willingness to sign him in Jan rather than wait until summer when he'll be free.

Are they credible enough for you?

I've only seen James Pearce throw Montoya's name around but rumours have died since Flanagan's been in the team.

I've not seen Tony Barrett comment on Fernando Reges either.

Do you have a link to them linking Fernando Reges to Liverpool?

I would imagine even Barrett and Pearce are speculating at this point on who we might get. Really our guesses here are as good as anyone's. For me, I think the number one priority is a box-to-box CM who is able to score goals. Maybe be versatile enough to play AM just as well. Fair enough, if Red thinks our priority is a DM.

The general consensus comes down to the fact that we all agree it's our midfield that needs the improvement.

Falcao squashed any possibility of him leaving in the winter from Monaco in a live interview... he took himself off the market.

I would love to see Bradley back in the Premier League.

His time at Roma has done him wonders in developing his ability to control a game from midfield. Gone are the days of the hard-charging, headless chicken version of Bradley. He's far more calm and collected in his play, and he's absolutely essential to the USMNT and the way Klinsmann wants to play.

A move to a different league is always a risky venture in a World Cup year. However, from what I hear, Bradley has had trouble getting regular game time with Roma, competing with Pjanic, Strootman, De Rossi, Florenzi, Marquiho, etc. Any move that would see him play more regularly could be viewed as a positive one 5 months in front of a World Cup.

Bradley is too slow for EPL imo. He's best suited for Serie A.

Isn't Bradley 4th in the pecking order in Romas midfield? I think he will get enough playing time because Roma need to rotate their squad if they want to push for the title... But move to a club like Napoli where he should be a starter would be good, but I dont think Roma would sell him to Napoli

If Atleti didn't sell Falcao during any of the winter windows he was with them, this being when Atleti weren't in the UCL, then why would they sell Koke now? They are experiencing success, it would just be retarded for them to up and sell such an important piece with the Knock Out stages of the UCL just around the corner

Whether it happens in January or in the summer, it's very, very likely that Will Hughes will become a Liverpool player.

Bayern's Mario Mandzukic is closing in on a move to Juventus, his agents were in Italy for talks recently.

Seen this on twitter, which is meh. But I seen it from some other source aswell in Italian

Apparantly his agents were in Turin, probably because Lewa will take his place

Not to mention Conte has wet dreams over hard working strikers and I can't think of a harder working front 2 than Tevez and Mandzukic atm.

EDIT: 'Inside futbol' are saying the same thing.

Not sure

Could be Winter I guess but Summer is more likely. Much more likely

Considering Lewa won't arrive for 6 months.

I live in Italy and I can say In Italy noone has never accosted Juventus to Mandzukic until now, no Sky no newspapers, noone has never talked about this possibility ...we'll see in future...  but Juve has already llorente as a striker with those characteristics so I have doubts
