1. it's a world cup year, so I think it's HIGHLY unlikely players like Reus or Gündogan, who face tough competition in the national team, would change in winter to clubs and leagues where their status is insecure.

2. this is even more true for Gündogan who's been injured for so long and will need to find form for the WC, once he comes back

3. I really don't think Gündogan is the kind of player who would just say "bye Dortmund" now after being injured for half a year

Think that's because the rates were different as back than that 54m euros equalled 30m something...

They are english so will speak in English terms so technically it would be a world record but considering rates constantly change its hard to really compare objectively.

Yeah I said all along he was injury prone and would struggle massively to get a look in, considering his direct competition is Aguero. So being injury prone makes an extremely difficult task even harder. He won't find the playing time needed to get back to match fitness every few months

Some people said he wasn't that injury prone, he was just forced to play when he was unfit because Fiorentina needed him to. Well... that myth got busted.

I'm glad we never got him in the end, 30M for a player who can't be relied upon due to constant injury worries. Too risky.

We haven't entered new contract talks yet, purely because we've been busy securing our two most valuable assest (in terms of monetary value) Pogba and Vidal

Unless Pirlo proves to be some sort of liability to the team in the next 6 months (Unlikely) or he randomly decides he wants crazy wages (Again, unlikely) then we'll most definitely give him a new contract.
