Can't see the Honda one being true. Not sure about Pato. It's clear Defoe isn't good enough and Ade probably sits at home these days, so I could see Spurs being interested.Motogp69 wrote:Bayern are reportedly interested in bringing in Sergio Aguero
Spurs are going to put in another offer for Coentrao and Pato, and are reportedly interested in Honda. Spurs also looking to hi-jack the "next Neymar" from Santos Neilton.
There are also reports United will make a move for Pjanic. I know we were kind of shopping him over the Summer, but not sure we can afford to let him go now. I could still see DDR moving in January considering he's probably the most expendable.
Coentrao is a no nonsense one that should have been done in the summer, but it seems he wasn't willing then which was the problem, who knows if he's willing now. Would be a great buy.
Would like to see Coentrao come in, Naughton go out. Pato I'm not sure about, but one injury to Soldado and Spurs are f*cked so I could see it.
I like the Coentrao idea, and the Pato one is interesting. I'm just kind of against buying more players at this point though. Spurs have a good squad now, they really ought to keep it like this and keep changes to a minimum. It's about team chemistry and getting the best out of what you have now, since Spurs have great depth for the most part. Honda certainly for this reason should not be bought (Uhhh..Holtby, Eriksen, Lamela and Siggy are all capable of playing there, and Holtby/Eriksen will directly be competing for that spot, no need for another, which is why I think it's BS, AVB wants 2 competing in every position, 3 is overkill)

Jokes aside, Forza is correct as El Shaarawy overall is the superior player which comes to his creativity, ambidexterity, clutch prowess, shooting ability and mentality, whereas Lamela excels in other areas. My criticisms of SES must be known by now yet he has proven so far to be the superior player despite being younger.
Both are world class talents who excel there expectations beyond there age yet SES simply excels in more areas of Lamela, who has the disadvantage of moving to another system, league and country.

Schalke are in the market for a new goalkeeper. From what I read they are connected to about every GK who is out of contract in 2014 plus young GKs (mainly from the BL) with a transfer fee under about 8 mio Euros, so I will skip all the names XD

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHA
Who'd score all those penalties I wonder.
At least Defoe can score from open play, as opposed to Pendado. the most replacable player in Spurs' set up at the moment.

Isn't Reveilleire like 63 ??
guess Napoli needed an emergency RB, seeing Mesto is out for the season.
Still expect them to buy Azpliucueta in Jan

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Defoe? Soldado has been much better than Defoe whenever he's played. Defoe gets to play in cup games against scrubby competition and look halfway decent. Whenever he's played in the EPL he's sucked and I believe it was the game against West Ham he started and missed a crucial opportunity to put Spurs up before Spurs collapsed. Other than a good patch of form last season it's easy to see how much Defoe has regressed from average into complete shite.
Mole it's not about jinxing Soldado, it's about jinxing the service he gets. Which is none atm
inb4 soldado hat trick

Re: 2013/14 Winter Transfer Rumours Mk. I
Yeah, I'm just confounded at this point as to what AVB is trying to accomplish when it comes to tactics. We started the season intending to run the 4/3/3, but Capoue went down and Sandro wasn't ready yet so we reverted back to the 4/2/3/1 which was our best formation last season.
However, that formation worked best when we were running natural and not inverted wingers. This changed when we gave Bale the free role, but for the majority of the season we ran traditional wingers. As a Bayern fan, I obviously understand how inverted wingers can work to great effect, but AVB doesn't allow them to function in the same manner as Bayern in that our inverted wingers provide almost zero service through crosses and the edge of the box. The majority of crosses coming into the box are coming from our wing backs Rose and Walker.
With Rose injured we've pretty much had no quality service off the left wing outside of the last game by Vertoghen against Everton. Further, we've continued the same problem as last year in that the RW doesn't know how to effectively operate with such an offensive minded RB like Walker.
I keep hoping every game we'll see AVB run Townsend on the left and Lamela/Lennon on the right. The entire point of needing a central playmaker like Holtby/Eriksen was to exploit the space created by our wingers. This doesn't even factor the added width and space would allow Dembele/Paulinho to contribute with Sandro in the back cleaning up the midfield.
We've barely seen what this team is capable of, so I won't complain being in 4th place and not remotely near our potential.

He isn't signing a new contract so it's probably all but done. Dortmund won't let another 'Lewandowski' happen so they'll sell at a high price.

Roma will launch an assault to sign Verona’s Juan Manuel Iturbe at the end of the season, says the Corriere dello Sport.
The Argentine youngster is currently shining at the Stadio Bentegodi after joining the club on loan from Porto in the summer.
Giallorosso sporting director Walter Sabatini is said to have been impressed by the 20-year-old’s impact in Serie A.
Iturbe, formerly of River Plate, is a forward who has scored two goals in eight Serie A games so far.
The South American could cost anything between €12 and €20m.

Apparently Corriere Dello Sport suggest Roma have a deal for Iturbe in June.
And also Napoli have a 50m transfer kitty for January i believe.
Menez-Juve rumors doing the rounds. He could be signed in January or as a free transfer in June.
