Arteta will definitely start over Flamini.

I agree, for all Flamini's grit and aggression. I think Arteta is a better fit to our game, no wonder our record when he is playing is ridiculous.srigooner wrote:Arteta will definitely start over Flamini.

Re: Welcome Back to Arsenal, Mathieu Flamini
i thought Flamini had an excellent game yesterday.. i used to think that his work rate is low.. he covered the most distance of all players yesterday even more than Ramsey yesterday.. advanced more than in the past games and got involved well in the passing game..
looks like a very good signing.. but Arteta will replace him when he is fit and Flamini will have his chances from the bench and occasional starts in between weekends..

Hope a few people in here are now biting their tongues, because tonight proved how integral Flamini actually is to the team

Re: Welcome Back to Arsenal, Mathieu Flamini
Flamini wasn't missed at all last night, as Arteta was absolutely brilliant and did his job perfectly. Defending, circulating the ball, controlling the midfield, fouling the opposition when necessary and more. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking that Flamini would've made a difference last night because Arteta did exactly what he was supposed to do and Flamini would've probably made the same.

Completely agree..... you just lost to a very good team who were clinical in a game of very few chances for both teams.urbaNRoots wrote:Flamini wasn't missed at all last night, as Arteta was absolutely brilliant and did his job perfectly. Don't think Flamini would have made any difference, Walcott probably would have though.... but at same time Dortmund can say the same about Gundogan and Pizza Cheque.

Re: Welcome Back to Arsenal, Mathieu Flamini
I don't know how good Arteta is at barking orders, but Flamini never STFU when he's on the field, forever screaming instructions to the back line and to whoever is in front of him. Perhaps he would have positioned the fullbacks better for their counter?
Just let me grasp at straws ffs

Re: Welcome Back to Arsenal, Mathieu Flamini
Yes Flamini was missed but I dont think we could have done much about either goal. If you want to win the game you must score goals and we looked tired and we were poor, Sagna was nowhere to be found for the winner goal.
We missed our wingers, Theo, Oxlade and Podolski more.
At the end of the day lesson learned, we will catch them next time.
