No i don't say it's ok for them to be homophobic, i was just saying Qatar shouldn't be individually condemned for gay prisoners, since every other Muslim countries enforce a degree of punishment for homosexuality. don't condemn the country, condemn the religion.

Their punishment are actually not the worst, in our country for example the punishment for homosexuality is death penalty.

EPL surely gets a lot more viewers worldwide (especially with the new TV deal) in addition to a lot more coverage in the US where GM/Chevrolet is based out of. I'm sure that the added exposure factored into the deal. I'm also pretty sure Man U's appeal to the Asian market surpasses ours, which is a large and fast growing market (looking at you, China).

So going from 33m Euros a year to 60m Euros a year, with the deal to have Qatar Airways on the shirt until 2021.

Great for the club, especially if they want to keep bank rolling the big earners.

That said I haven't bought a new Barca shirt since the Qatar crap appeared, and will by the looks of it not buy another one until at the earliest 2022.

Course we are. United is still earning more from a Sponsor not tied to terrorism and human rights problems like Qatar.

Forgot to answer this. I wasn't "individually condemning" Qatar for their misdeeds. This thread is about Qatar, so we talk about Qatar. It's true that most muslim countries are equally bad but also not all of them. The fact that there is a serial killer who killed 61 people, doesn't mean we can't condemn a killer that killed "just" 10 people.

It looks like shit on the shirt though. They could do better with their logo design. Ruins a beautiful kit. 60M doesn't go out for a walk in the park though.

It is not 60. Reading the article, 60 was offered a year back but they have improved the offer and the good part is that the training gear is out of it. So we can get a separate sponsor for it like United.
We should be getting a better deal than United although we really should be looking at sponsors beyond Qatar Airways.
I dont necessarily agree with free cat's line of reasoning though.
