Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
calm down.. this summer was a disaster considering we wasted all these 3 months doing nothing.. we didnt have contracts to settle or top players leaving.. but, we have managed to clear the deadwood and hopefully will make few signings.. it is not as you are in the board and you know what is happening behind the scenes..Raptorgunner wrote:No mater what happens now, I hope this is his last year.SUPERCARTTS wrote:WENGER OUT
Arsene Wenger typical way of doing things. We know where it took us for the last few years… No where.
We still don’t know the targets for the season. As usual, we will be notify towards the second part of season and this to tell us that ” We will do our best and utmost to reach a top four finish " Top 4 is like winning a trophy. We all get excited about summer transfer window and nothing again.
I just cannot see our club win anything significant as long as the current managerial structure is in place… Simple !
and taking things for granted.. we would have been playing in the midtable fighting with Liverpool with this squad if it was not Wenger.. Liverpool were talking about challenging for the title before few years spending 100+ million in the window.. now Rodgers is like we will try our best to reach top4.. so there is no gurantee that spending wont buy you success unless you can do it consistently like $hitty or Chel$hit..
atm, the first team is looking strong and with a couple of decent signings as backups we are in with a chance of closing the gap to the title and may be win a domestic cup.. so get behind the team.. in Arsene i still trust..

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Our team is pretty good, however we need depth in every position almost. What is the point of getting rid of the deadwood when you are not going to add to the squad? We have more money than god and still looking for bargain. Nothing wrong with bargains but it comes a time where you have to start buying top players.Wilson37 wrote:calm down.. this summer was a disaster considering we wasted all these 3 months doing nothing.. we didnt have contracts to settle or top players leaving.. but, we have managed to clear the deadwood and hopefully will make few signings.. it is not as you are in the board and you know what is happening behind the scenes..Raptorgunner wrote:No mater what happens now, I hope this is his last year.SUPERCARTTS wrote:WENGER OUT

We always had good team to win trophies.
I am sorry I dont trust Wenger anymore, I will always support Arsenal and have no love for Wenger anymore. I was going to change my mind about him but he cant be trusted. Wenger had 3 monds to buy players and he sayd that he was working 24/7 to make deals , only 7 days left to buy. Wenger said he just started to work last week after fernebahce game? we should have signed 3/4 players buy now.
I always criticize Wenger. I know that he knows the game better than me and anyone else here and still dose not get the players to make Arsenal stronger. Wenger is not a fool, he is just stubborn and love to gamble. I thank Wenger for some of the greatest memories but I think after this year if he dose not change he should leave.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Spanish-based journalist Breen-Turner says Real Madrid set to accept Arsenal's bid for Ángel di María. http://bit.ly/14v9qXG
Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
2 or 3 players says Wenger, I believe we could need more but let's look what we need most.
Surely a DM should be priority with Arteta's injury. I believe we'll try to sign Cabaye on the cheap and will sign Flamini when Newcastle reject our new offer. I would like us to sign Fernando, Nainggolan or Kondogbia but that looks unlikely now. Hopefully Wenger pulls a Monreal and surprises us with one of these.
2nd player should be a striker. Rooney looks unlikely to leave but it's worth a try. Jackson Martinez is available for €40m, sign him up.
3rd player is probably a wide-men now that Oxlade-Chamberlain is out. Wenger sees Sagna as 4th choice CB now and Fabianski/Szczesny as our GK's. di Maria is the only winger we've been linked to and signing him won't be easy at all. Maybe Thauvin is another player we could sign if di Maria stays in Madrid.
Do you believe a striker, winger and DM is enough?

depending on the quality, yes thats enough. it would be a decent summer with these signings.urbaNRoots wrote:2 or 3 players says Wenger, I believe we could need more but let's look what we need most.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Arsenal know the price for Yohan Cabaye, insists Newcastle’s Joe Kinnear
Newcastle have told Arsenal to stump up £20million if they still want Yohan Cabaye.
The Gunners had an opening bid of £10m turned town for the French midfielder, but the Magpies’ director of football, Joe Kinnear, has since taken over negotiations.
Kinnear said: ‘We’ve told Arsenal our terms, the ball is in their court.’

According to RMC Sport, Arsenal are going to make a €17m offer for Yohan Cabaye in the coming days. The player is training with his team mates unlike some English reports were saying. Newcastle are likely to accept the offer.

OK. So PSG is willing to let Sakho go for either 10 mil now or on loan with an option to buy at 15. Why aren't Arsenal in there ffs... that's a steal.

We're not looking at CB's anymore. Vermaelen looks closer to come back and Sagna will be our 4th choice CB. We're set there.

We're far from set, we could easily end up in a situation where we have NO CB's, we need depth.urbaNRoots wrote:We're not looking at CB's anymore. Vermaelen looks closer to come back and Sagna will be our 4th choice CB. We're set there.
Sakho & Cesar are right there ffs instead this guys trying to get another Arteta.

Sakho wants a guaranteed starting spot... that could have something to do with it. Looks like he's headed to either Milan or Roma.

I doubt that, unless we are getting desperate to use the money to fund incomings.urbaNRoots wrote:According to RMC Sport, Arsenal are going to make a €17m offer for Yohan Cabaye in the coming days. Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Of course it can happen to us and everyone when all your CB's are injured or suspended you have 0 CB's1991 wrote:We're far from set, we could easily end up in a situation where we have NO CB's, we need depth.urbaNRoots wrote:We're not looking at CB's anymore. That rarely happens and if it happens there's nothing you can do about it. You can't have 5 CB's and keep everyone happy, unless you want another Squillaci or Silvestre.

We dont need Cabaye really, but you do. Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Tbh i'm not bothered about Cabaye, whether he goes or not we need an attacking midfielder and winger.
Whether he stays or not i'm happy with the central midfield as long as Tiote stays far far away.
I'd gladly sell him if it meant Anita-Sissoko starting every week and an AM and winger signed.

Sissoko is the worst defender i have ever seen tbh... from bad previously to downright pathetic now. He can't play midfield because of that. You have to put him somewhere that he's not exposed on that end.

He looked alright on Saturday, i honestly liked Anita-Sissoko as a partnership better than anything we have had in ages lol.sportsczy wrote:Sissoko is the worst defender i have ever seen tbh... from bad previously to downright pathetic now. We need width and creativity in front of them though oh Shola and Cisse need to be put to sleep.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
We won't sign another defender, I highly doubt it.
I expect Flamini to sign, and be used as cover at right-back with Sagna being used as 4th choice CB. Vermaelen is running again, and will be back soon.
