Man City? Please guys stop looking at the games on paper. City need to first pass the group stages before anything else. Only English side I can see winning the CL are Chelsea.

I vote Juve just because there is a chance we could go very deep with out upgraded offense.

And unless Barcelona get a defender they aren't winning the CL either. They still have all the old problems from last season. Neymar won't fix any of that.

Its not just about Neymar, we need a Cb that's true. But, if we keep on pressing like we did in preseason & vs Levante and like we used to do between 2008-2011 with Pep, Barca have a very good chance to win it!

Remember Barcelona had Pique+Masche as Center Backs in most of the games in 2010-11, but the whole team was fit and we were pressing very well!

But even with pressing you guys had a proper defensive left back in Abidal. Now you have two attacking fullbacks who don't compliment each other and end up leaving gaps in the back line. This leaves Piqué and Puyol stranded on a counter as seen vs Bayern. Now Puyol is too old and if I'm honest a Piqué-Masche lineup isn't anywhere near the best in the world.

I think Barca could do with a tall defensive fullback. In terms of counters, apparently they've been practicing defending them and better pressing should help too.

Carletto's Madrid could yet steal it. The man has obviously got continental pedigree, having won the competition as both player and manager.
There's also a good chance that the players are extra motivated given last years shambles. This may just be the year of the Decima.

Pressing is back, attack is more team orientated and not just pass to Messi like in Pep's first season and not to mention for the first time since Pep left they actually have a manager who has a clue.

Hard for me to peg us as favorites when we haven't improved on our defense (YES, I know our pressing is miles better than it was). Our attack is brilliant, midfield is always solid.

But there are so many variables between now and then...will we get fatigued? The depth in our midfield is less than it use to be with Thiago gone, Xavi is a year older still. Will our pressing remain as good as it has been?

What does this team look like when the press is broken?

We have a lot to answer for yet, so I can't say us with certainty. However, if we play like we did against Levante and at times in preseason...if we can even improve on that performance, I see no reason we can't win the CL.
