Anyway, this is a good test because I believe Simone has his tactics about right vs us, its individual greatness which has gotten results vs them recently.
His 4411 with a ultra narrow midfield and alternating between pressing and low block is as good a option as any.

I rate Sergi higher than JDS personally. That said, I see them excelling in different type roles
Sergi more of an attacking role ala Iniesta
JDS more of a holding/defense type which means he could in for Xavi
Still dont get why JDS just didn't get up and go to Sociedad but whatever

Simeone: I remember when I was a player, maybe the second or third time I played against Newell's, Martino came at me a little rough. I dove and got him sent out. 15 minutes later they kicked me out too.

I HIGHLY doubt they will change their usual gameplan vs us (very tight, narrow 4 man midfield and alternating between pressing and low defensive line) by throwing Villa out wide. Unless Simone has a even better one.

Atlético are playing compact. They have been covering a lot of ground and have stuck to a low risk game plan. Can they keep it up for the next 45 minutes though? Luckily for them, they have scored a goal and Simeone will probably order his team to preserve the remaining energy by playing deeper as we go towards the last 15-20 minutes or so.
