What are your favourite type of players?

The mercurial talent. Savicevic, Prosinečki, Di Maria, Guti*, Ginola, Denilson, players of that ilk. Inconsistent but sheer talented and when on point can be very potent.

* - Never liked him and I still would not call him a Real Madrid legend or icon but his talent I always admired.

Players like Olic, Mandzukic or Mueller. Not the most skilled guys in the world but players who are smart and never stop working.

Technical, creative players who have athleticism, but are not dependent on it.

Fat Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Kaka in his prime, Marcelo, Ozil, Di Maria..

All-action, hard working midfielders... doesn't hurt if they have a good longshot as well. - Steven Gerrard, Michael Bradley, Kevin Strootman

Intelligent, versatile forwards who rely more on their understanding of the game and hard work than tricks or physical abilities. - Thomas Müller, Dirk Kuyt, Brian McBride

I also like Muller/Raul type of player.

I'm not looking for any specific attributes, players who are excellent at what they do are my favorites.

Examples:

Defenders who actually enjoy defending and are good at different aspects of it, like positioning, intelligence, containing, set-pieces... For instance Sami Hyypiä or if we forget what a c*nt he is, John Terry.

Clever and capable passers, like Gerrard, Silva or if we again forget what a c*nt he is, Totti.

And basically any player who are great at their own thing but aren't necessarily considered to be world-class players, like Carroll as target man, Berbatov's technique and wits, Walcott's speed and runs, Jonas Gutierrez's all-roundedness, Phil Jagielka's no-nonsense defending etc.

So I try to appreciate different players' individual strengths, after all it's quite a low percentage of games where you get to see several breath-taking individual performances and moments, so I prefer to try and look beyond that in order to enjoy a wider range of matches.

First and foremost I like intelligent and hardworking players like Muller, he isn't the best with the ball on his feet, but he is really good off the ball and understands the game better than most players do, he also works hard on the pitch.

I like technical creative midfielders. ex- Gotze, Gundogan, Thiago, Isco, Iniesta.

I also like Registas. Ex-Pirlo

Jonas is crap at everything if that's what you mean.

Anyway....

I'm a striker whore, I like all types but mostly the technical/flair players that do step-overs and shit..

If I named my top 10 favorite players of all time, they would all be strikers or forwards at the very least, except Stevie G  

I love to watch a relatively weak team having a star in it who singlehandedly helped and inspire the team to win, eg Matt le Tissier during his time at Southampton

players with flair in their dribble, like rosicky,messi, isco, wilshere

I like any player who is tactically astute, intelligent and has a great/strong mentality ; one that will usually stay composed and not buckle under pressure.

But as for roles, I mostly like Box-Box Midfielders and I loved the Anchor Man role too.
