Quite a pessimist, aren't you..

Having quality players is no doubt required but consistency plays a bigger part. Look at United. Goddamn average squad but they are legit title contenders. Same goes for Arsenal. They have consistency in the form of Wenger being the manager and that helps them get CL football every season.

I understand and agree with most of your points.
But still feel the squad has what it takes to beat Stoke City.

Well found the formation image through BT Sport. & also prefer that myself. Coutinho in the middle & Hendo on the left. Anyhow the best thing about our players is that they are brilliant at interchanging within their roles. So, lets see what happens.

united have a superior squad to ours. And besides consistency basically has to do with sustaining your current results. Arsenal and man utd have always been in c.l postions and hence can have something to be consistent with. We on the other hand have not gone higher than 7th for some seasons now and we will need much more than consistency to get a c.l place.
I wouldnt say i'm a pessimist, but a realist, that's why i dont throw tantrums whenever we lose, cos i've seen and accepted it already.
I still hope we win. Will be a morale booster for the week.

great first half by liverpool

they did allow stoke too much time on the ball on occasions especially in the middle

Coutinho has been great infact the whole front four have been excellent

We've had so many chances, playing some beautiful football. THank god we scored. Defense is a little scary, Mignolet having a couple of bad episodes but THAT SAVE on Walters :bow:
