Re: Gareth Bale discussion
Wow the first few pages of this thread are hilarious
Once again I am right

All of you are making waaay too many assumptions and forgetting waaay too many pieces of info.
1) Bale is a two time EPL player of the year. Do me a favour and check how many players in EPL history have won this award more than once. Remember Bale is still 23.
2) So far this summer we've pretty much broken even. Money coming in has matched money going out and our transfer budget is pretty much untouched which is why we're entertaining the inflated prices. We have money to burn guys and it's more than likely that the money we spend will make us more money further down the line. It's an investment and one worth taking a risk on.
So questions of player quality and price are if you ask me non-issues. The player himself is one of the best in the world, Zidane at least seems convinced, and the price is still within budget (Thanks Rafa lol) so the only issue that remains is where will he play? Well that will be Carlo's job, one he is used to. He's worked for Berlusconi, Abramovich, Al-Khalaifi etc very demanding guys and he's done a good job, so I have no doubt he'll be able to make Bale fit (and honestly all truely great players can be made to fit)
I won't mind if it doesn't happen but if it does I'll be more than happy with Bale.
Once again I am right

Re: Gareth Bale discussion
Not a fan of bringing up old posts but I can't but feel even Perez thought this much:
Alas, Bale did prove a tactical conundrum but Carlo, being the smart Italian guy he is, got the best out of him. Well done to him...

Re: Gareth Bale discussion
In other pictures he looks normal, I'm pretty sure the latter pic was taken after a very intense weight lifting session, while former was taken in the first few days after his arrival to Madrid, when he didn't train for Spurs in a very long time.

Re: Gareth Bale discussion
How long before Ronaldo starts to complain and ask for Bale to be benched?
We've seen the new Ronaldo who is much calmer, much less selfish, and doesn't throw a tantrum whenever a teammate decides to do something other than pass to him. Except for Bale. More than once did I see Ronaldo frustrated from Bale in recent games. Usually at the later stages of the match, when Bale does a few wrong decisions and fails to deliver any decent cross. And to top it all off, he's tracking and pressing more than Bale. It's clear to me the Ronaldo is enjoying playing with James and Isco more than Bale, so we'll see how this goes after Bale cost us a comp or an important match with another poor decision (kinda like Higs and Ronaldo against Lyon).
Oh well, maybe he'll improve later, but tbh, I'd be be happy if If he gets replaced in the summer with Reus. He won't have Bale's untouchable tag on him, which will allow us to rotate more with Isco and James. And will allow us to play a proper 442 and be even more organized and balanced. As talented as Bale is, he just doesn't suit the current Madrid team. He does have the mentality and the technical ability, just not the vision and workrate, which is what's working for the team right now.

Re: Gareth Bale discussion
Though I have never quite liked his style of play he has been effective for us in the past- we cannot deny that.
He is young and has room for improvement but he really needs to bring consistency and selflessness to his game, and fast.

MD reports that Bale might have a broken toe.
I know that it's wrong to think this way but there might be a footballing God out there
