Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Oh please...i watched both of these strikers enough to make a judgement on them and Soldado wins it hands down to me.I like how people hold onto statistics when it suits them btw....
Ruined Ba what is there to ruin lol more like he has been found out.

Tbf our performances hardly improved after wards.....
Just Pardew is a moron to make it work properly.... but anyway Ba scores goals its what he does same as Soldado does.
Soldado is better but peeps are acting like we are comparing Defoe with Falcao.
And it definitely wasn't laughable thing to say when that thread was made.

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
Also Ba find out? he was 1 in 2 for us in those two and a half years.
Probably would have been even better if he didn't spend half a season on the left wing.
Certainly sounds like he was found out..... more that Chelsea wasn't using him properly.

What has Ba been found out of ? He's a good player, he'd give peak Heskey a run for his money.....

Can't believe I'm defending Ba. Yuck.
Good player who's capable over the spectacular but not top tier quality just like Soldado.
Anyway I'd take Sturridge over Soldado. Anyone disagree?

because a year and a half = a career? want to bring up his barely 1 in 3 hoffenheim stats or is that too inconvenient?

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
When he played on the left wing the whole time?
I guarantee Soldado's stats would have lessened if he played on the left wing too.
Besides 40 something in 100 games from the left wing isn't that bad.

There's no players involved in the transfer. Bale knows about the offer and he's becoming frustrated with the situation.
Spurs want to keep Bale.
What's with trying to make him the biggest transfer of all time? Why not offer 60 or 70 and see what happens?

now let's not pretend he was a winger... iirc hoffenheim at that point were switching between three forwards, him, ibisevic and some nigerian dude whose name i can't remember, it's not like ba was hugging the sideline sending in crosses... the guy has always been a forward, one with an extremely average effectiveness until a few great months in england

Re: Gareth Bale transfer saga
great few months
He was 1 in 2 for his first 2 and half years in England
And until he joined Chelsea he had a career 1 in 2 record and despite he still has close to it....
105 in 215 to be exact.
Also doesn't matter if he was hugging the touchline or not, he still played away from his natural role and i guarantee Soldado would get no joy in that role.
Anyway lets see how Soldado does in England.
I just find it funny how his career record ratio is similar to Soldado.... yet Soldado is a great player and Ba is a scrub who got lucky.

Yeh, not sure why the opening bid is 85m. Should try 50-60 and see what Spurs say.

in spells
he was at west ham for like a month so the sample size isn't big enough but his newcastle record is ridiculous... 14 goals between october and december 2011, then nothing until the next season... then 5 goals in two weeks in september 2012 and two goals in the subsequent two months
it's almost as if an overwhelming majority of his goals came in a few good months
And until he joined Chelsea he had a career 1 in 2 record and despite he still has close to it....

does that include whatever mickey mouse league he was playing in before going to germany? lol
anyway... bale...

A source worth looking at. Not trash like Daily Mail.
