Can you see Neymar becomming the new Beckham/C.Ronaldo?

Beckham retired, C. Ronaldo is 30 years old in 2 years time. So we need a new pretty boy/poster boy football.

I think Neymar is ideal. He has the talent of Messi, but is much prettier and more outspoken. Other stars like Balotelli, Rooney are fugly.

Lol, I don't see Neymar as a handsome looking dude. Plus he is no Messi, and if he does possess the potential to come close he still has to show it.

But I think the "new Beckham" tag would fit G Bale more than anyone if he moved to Madrid. Another Brit who moved to Real to play alongside newer galacticos, and while he isn't nearly as metro ( I don't think) or as good looking as Becks, his fee would propel him to the top in terms of marketability.

And yes as far as footballing ability I don't think Becks was as good as either of these guys but he still did a LOT for this sport.

I don't think he is good looking, but maybe that's subjective. And it is way too early to compare him to messi.

anyway, football doesn't need a preety poster boy. Football as a game is interesting because of techniche and tactics. The rest is superfluos and for people who don't actually watch football.

People with short memories here See what Neymar was doing at 18-20 compared to Messi, who had little vision beyond his peripherals, couldn't pass and was inconsistent and was purely talent before Pep Guardiola came in.

Neymar was scoring 30+ goals for Santos, performing for Brazil and showing a far better range at a younger age than Messi.

Players are incomparable today, yet saying Neymar does not have the talent of Messi, despite Messi's initial talent not having such a high ceiling before Pep, is just ignorance.
