i pity marcelo.
i dont think he is back in training and word has it that Zidane and Ancelotti are impressed by Denis Cheryshev's work rate and are considering using him at the left-back position due to the absence of a true left-back in training.
I expect coentraeo to leave so i am not even counting him as a possible solution.
For those who do not know Denis Cheryshev, he is a left-winger who plays for the castilla.
he is very fast, has a good cross and also an eye for goal.
He is one of the players rated highly in the castilla alongside Jese and Morata, he is the third most revered in the castilla.

when people want to make diego lopez the victim of mourinho's stupidity during his last days, i hope they remember that Diego Lopez played for the youth system for 6 good years, joined the first team for 2 years, meaning he has spent 8 years in madrid so please dont make him a victim.

He better work his ass off for that spot.

I hope Carvajal starts over Arbeloa. Illa, Modric and Khedira all competing for CM if Alonso is really out until the fall

He try's to go up and create and isn't good at that nor is he that good defensively.

He works 100%, I'll give him that, but other than that he's just okay.

Just watch him this season, playing as a DM.

I don't even want to imagine that. He isn't good defensively so we'll have to wait and see.

smh judging players based on a friendly. not every team is going to be Bournemouth, let's see how Khedira will do as a DM against a better midfield.

Khedira was hardly a DM today, he was a b2b midfielder as he has always been for us, he isn't good defensively by any means. His attacking runs creates some good space though, he needs to improve his shooting and finishing in order to become an important piece

I'll call it right now so as to have the bragging rights when the time comes. Most of you think Carvajal will be a starter ahead of Arbeloa but you'll be mighty surprised. As bad as Arbeloa is he'll still be the 1st choice RB.

Wasn't too impressed with Carvajal tbh. Hopefully he can pick it up. Don't want scrubeloa starting.

If I'm to be honest, I'm not impressed at all by the team. This is preseason anyways.

Well carvajal is not Casillas. He actually  has to go out and earn his spot now even if its preseason. Otherwise his spot will be taken by the more experienced player.

He had a bad game(imo) is all i mean. Not saying he's a scrub or anything I just think he needs to pick it up a bit.
